Interesting, I’m wondering if we’re getting press conferences today?

I’d bet he’s going to float in there literally in between soccer ending and nfl kicking off.

Wants the headlines relatively to himself.

Saw a fan elsewhere post laravia/knecht for toppin, and I love it. Too bad Pritchard hates us.

If the numbers on Spotrac are correct, it looks like this was structured by taking a smaller raise in Year 2 than the max raise would be

    https://www.spotrac.com/nba/los-angeles-lakers/yearly

Seems aligned with the structuring of Mamu's contract where we're trying to keep some extra money next year specifically, probably to ensure we have access to the full MLE.

Wonder if some of the decision making here is specifically to be able to afford a slightly higher deal on Kuminga while preserving the full MLE next summer.

Bucks probably trade for Watson, right? They have the 25.5 million trade exception, and just signed fellow Klutch client Trent to a huge contract lol.

I'm curious to see which GM dislikes their coach enough to sign him. Will be eye opening.

Last season, Ziare got 2.4 threes and 2.1 steals per 36 minutes, i like that. 34.3% three-point shooting accuracy is decent.

By comparison, Marcus Smart got 2.0 threes and 1.8 steals per 36 minutes, with 33.1% three-point shooting accuracy.

Truthfully, I am happy we got him....just didn't have a better gif to go with.....plus I am getting bored with no news. So this is good news and something to catch my attention, while still wanting to know when we decide on Kuminga or whoever and when LeBron decides things.

Yeah, I look at it as a potential placeholder at the 4, or might even be the 4 of the future, he's still young. He's not the rebounder that Thoero and Kaluma are, but he's better than LaRavia. Williams is obvioulsy more experienced than Thiero and Kaluma, and provides a better combination of shooting, defnese, and athleticism than any of our current 4's. LaRavia was probably going to be the starter, but Williams could compete for that job. Maybe they battle it out.

    Nice!

There it goes another 5 or 6 days of doomsday posts that we weren't signing anyone else, bla bla bla

Yeah, when I saw the first Shams post I started wondering if we were going to frame this as our main wing acquisition and call it an off-season. That would have been underwhelming, I see Williams more as a flier and back up than someone we can rely on to produce

So I was glad to see Shams follow up about how we’re still strongly pursuing Kuminga as our starter.

If we get Kuminga next, I’m really liking our off season and the athletic makeup of our new team.
