The amount of people melting down over this team is unreal, as if the expectation was to lose Lebron James and become a better team than OKC in one offseason. We were always going to need more than one offseason to build the team completely out. We have three great pieces locked down with a couple solid role players locked down. A couple MLEs and an opportunistic expiring deal dump, and we're right there.

I don't think Kuminga is a realistic option, at this point I hope I'm wrong. We need starters and he's really the only one we have any path to get unless we can trade Vando and DK to Denver for Braun.

Based on the age max we're working with now, Ziaire and Trent are the only options from that list. We're now allergic to players older than 28. With the two slots, if we're willing to go over the age cap and we can't get Kuminga, I go after Thybulle/Brown for the wing defender and Kenrich for some PF help.

I know he's on the decline and geriatric for this team, but desperate times, desperate measures. If he hits free agency, I'm in.

Another option, 'Dipo sending out his resume on twitter

Here's what we have left in the cupboard to move

Shams is a weasel isn’t he? He sold his soul for access and is a mouthpiece.

He gets his access and then comes on air sputtering and stuttering.

Thoughts on some of the league wide deals today:

-Losing out on Giannis broke Boston. Good Lord! I think I'm higher on Brown than the league, I guess, but moving him for PG and picks is an awful haul. They went from wanting half of Minny's roster, several of Portland's young guys to taking a broken down, washed up PG and a couple picks IN YOUR CONFERENCE. No clue what they're thinking. Robinson and Conley should be interesting for them and I like those additions better than George. George was destined to be a C bag. That jersey will fit perfectly on him. Philly is going to be a real problem. That should vault them to a 2nd best in the East pre-season rank.

-Harris to SA is not the route I would have gone, I would have signed Rui instead. Wonder where that leaves him?

AD should veto that, he had front row seats to that s*** show.

How he's fallen. From created a Temu super team in Phoenix to be banging on Riley's window in the middle of the night, holding a boombox over his head.

Skill wise, yeah but with what we're asking of him defensively we might have to slot him down to 5th.

Live look at Kessler this season:

Yes been saying that. That’s a more balanced lineup. We need more athleticism. That team can make a run for a championship. I’m telling you that team looks like the Knicks. Lots of things that team can do. We need Kaminga as much as he needs us.

That’s a low key good value deal. For Denver. Bagley with Jokic could be there new Aaron Gordon. I wanted Bagley here.

Man it’s going to be wild when we’re the best defensive team in the league.

Kessler is a top 3 rim protector and then we’re going to have Carr and Adou terrorising the perimeter in the starting lineup.

Also going to be wild when we have the best bench in the league.

    Claxton - Grimes - Kuminga - Mamu - Ayton

    Wild times.

I like your optimism. The key is Kuminga it allows us to offset Thieros and Carrs development until they are ready to play.

Absolutely! When people witness these young athletes who play with such energy and leave everything they have on the court, they’ll be singing a different tune. The chemistry between them is going to be extraordinary.

    As bad as things are…

Clippers are worse and paid a thief 300m dollars for not much while Boston just had a terrible offseason trading their Finals MVP for peanuts.

Yall need to watch NBA TV free agency special.

they walk you through the greatness of Kessler.

This guy competes. He goes and gets James Harden and then recovers to help Markanan out on Zubac and block his shot. AD s***!!!!!

    the guy is a beast.

He has beautiful soft hands. Not hands of brick. Those lobs. The best lob guy you can get.

We don’t need him to be Wemby and get 25 on the other end. Control patrol the paint finish lobs finish at the rim.

Luka and Reaves will handle most of the burden of the scoring.

I like Grimes shooting the ball. Perk loves the trade moves we’ve made.

my boy Loves Grimes said everything was great with Kessler and Grimes and then ruined with Mamu.

This can all be saved with Kaminga. Balance wins championships. Kobe Gasol Artest Odom.

    Kobe Shaq Horry Fox Fisher

    Davis LeBron KCP Kuzma Caruso

We need balance. You need a balanced roster and we can have championship rings.

Kessler is an eraser. We go from Ayton on defense to one of the top ones in the Western Conference.

    probably league

    1. Wemby

    2. Kessler

    3. Gobert

    4. Holmgren

    5. Davis

    6. Allen

Reaves is gonna find Kessler on a lot of lobs to.

We currently have 4 starting caliber players on this roster, and 2 of them play the same position. The expectations were not to be better than OKC in an offseason, they were to get better in some really important areas. We got better in maybe 2 areas, starting center, and bench talent if they’re actually played off the bench. And yet again we added guards for the big money and left the super important position of the wings to the minimums. Every single year we do this and yet it’s not an issue?

The FO even talked about the importance of adding young, athletic two way players this offseason. Did we even do that other than Kessler? If our starting lineup is made up of Luka, Reaves, Kessler and ANY other 2 of the players on the roster currently, it is going to get killed nightly on defense, with no real help in that area waiting on the bench as well. If any of us are melting down, it’s for legit reasons, I didn’t expect to take a huge leap forward, but I also didn’t expect to go this far backwards.
