This is what is on Ronnie's scouting report. He's a veteran with experience. As for his offense, I didn't see anything that was out of context. He's not the best shooter, but he can still hit the jumper and attacks the basket really well. Kendall was a d-leaguer who excelled in nothing more than a fast paced, ball movement offense. Didn't really bring much else.
a big plus from all the injuries is that the spotlight forcly put on Price and he delivered big time. we got ourself a replacment for Nash from nowhere. now just get back some shooting force from Clarkson, Lin and in the long future Henry and Young and we might be okay.
Honestly would rather see a dude run around taking charges, getting steals and dishing assists, than all offense Nash. I hope Scott sees it the same way. We need any semblance of perimeter defense we can get.
Dodged a bullet here. Can we change this to the Ronnie Price discussion since he made the team? Please and thank you.
Meant to laugh way back when you first said this but forgot. Yeah, someone, maybe here now, but on CL used to have an animated Katy AVI that was ummm...."interesting".
Agreed. But on the other hand we have seen the worst of these really be multiple weeks long problems. No sweat with our training staff....should have him fixed up and ready to go in no time.....
Hell he's a giant compared to some of the suggestions on whom we should spend $4.85 million on that aren't even in the NBA....
Ronnie def earned his spot. His offense may not be the best but he's has energy on the hustle plays that they so dearly need. I'm ok with like 10 points, 10 assists if he can keep it up. Minus the assists, if he can at least keep up his pesky defense I'd be happy.
What a relief it's not something more serious. Very glad he's a part of the squad for sure. He was a very important pickup given Nash's health. Since he's relatively ok, I still want us to get a SF.
Well.. I agree because it's Nash.. Even before we knew he was done for the season we knew he wouldn't be healthy often. But this lacks scorers just as badly as it lacks defenders.. We have Kobe who so far looks like he could be 12-13 Kobe again & that would go a long way, we have Swaggy who will give us 17 PPG off the bench, but after that what do we have? - Lin is just an average scorer.. He was #23 in PPG from PG's last season with his minutes reduced slightly, & #15 the season before in 32 MPG. - Boozer was #7 in PPG for PF's in 12-13 but fell to #15 last season, will likely see his minutes limited so Randle can develop. - Randle & Clarkson are rookies & thus going to be inconsistent most likely.. Hill & Davis aren't scorers. Wes definitely isn't a scorer. Price can get hot but he's a defensive specialist for the most part. It's nice to have a fiery defender like Price for sure, but we're going to struggle to put up enough points to get a W a lot of nights. We have some good defenders but the 04 Pistons we are not.
Atleast we have someone that can guard the quick, shifty&ball dominant PGs now if&when Lin gets in foul trouble. I need to watch more tape of this guy though I can tell hes definitely a scrappy defender. Added good balance to the squad it seems like. Was really hoping Clarkson would win the backup guard minutes(at both positions but most importantly PG),let the best man win I suppose.
