Sandro and Grimes are going to surprise some people here on defense. Sandro is tough, very solid, versatile tweener. He is always available, can strech the floor, can pass.

Grimes is a Luka guy, they have been a big positive on the court together. Some mistakes were made, but the signings are better than some of you think.

Kessler was a good acquisition, the rest are questionable especially small guards Grimes and Sexton

    It's 60 million
This offseason was more sold by media and fans than the front office. We almost never talk publicly.
This offseason was chosen for this rebuild because AR contract ended now. So the FO aligned Bron's expiring with that to give us more options. It made sense.

It does seem to be an underwhelming all-in. An overpay on each deal is tough to swallow. We could likely get the same guys + 2 other pieces if we negotiated better. That's the most tough part

I would bet my house that we won't be finishing higher than 3rd seed next season. I'll actually be very surprised if we don't end up in the play-in.

We lost a top 15 player, we have no wing defenders, have no assets to improve, not even 2nds

Kessler is an upgrade, but it's like Rob tried to fix a hole while the rest of the boat was leaking.

The roster is what it is. I will wait for December to pass full judgement.

If the week starts at .500, I will be okay. But give me a 5 game winning streak or a 5 game losing streak in the beginning, I will probably be reacting accordingly, and yet also I know that will be unrealistic. Oh well.

Sexton is the only signing I don't dislike. He makes sense as a 3rd playmaker/bench scoring punch, and short contract.

I think the hope is Grimes can get back to shooting 39% from 3 the way he did for half a season in Dallas with Luka, but you didn’t need to commit to a 4 year $60 million contract for that.

The length of the contracts for Sandro and Grimes is what hurts more than anything, if either of them do not work out you can’t trade them because you don’t have draft picks to attach. They will be here and have a Vando like existence

Sorry if this has already been said, but today is bringing back strong Moz/Deng vibes. A crummy GM torching the place on his way out (fingers crossed) in a manner so deeply damaging that we will be paying for this for years. Just unbelievable how poorly this team has been run for the last 25 years. That we managed to eek out a few championships despite it should be studied by future historians.

Nothing man, Sexton is a proven player who plays with great energy on both ends. We wanted players with motor, well here is one. Sandro is another.

Dudes here are currently in panic mode but dust will settle and they will like this team. Sandro & Grimes will fit great with Luka and Kessler is a star.

You can quote me on this.

Circumstance. We need bigger athletic wings, not another combo guard that can’t play defense.

We underpaid for the Luka trade and overpaid for Kessler. So the trades kind of balance themselves out lol As for the dollar amount, I think $35M is fair value. Kessler is EXACTLY what we needed. A great lob threat and elite defender. He will push Wemby around. I also like the Grimes signing. As much as we needed a defensive wing, I think we needed a POV defender even more.

Not sure what to think about Mamu yet, but I think Sexton will be a great 6th man. His speed and athleticm will give us another look on offense.

I just read the last ten pages of pure raw negativity and I'm sitting here chuckling. Apparently the sky has fallen and Rob is the most incompetent GM in the history of GMing.

This is what I'm looking forward to this year:

A healthy Luka who is now clearly the focal point going off on the league.
AR, who has improved every year so far in his career playing Robin to Luka's Batman.
Walker Kessler catching lobs and swatting shots.

I haven't watched enough of Mamu, Grimes or Sexton to evaluate their signings, so I'll reserve judgment until I see how all the parts fit together.

I do agree with the defensive concerns. Kessler will help there, but one man can't guard five.
