Solomon Hill why did you have to go for the loose ball lol.

Lakers maybe win that year fully healthy easily better then Phoenix of the Bucks or at least the Brick trade doesn't happen

AD and LeBron were so freaked out by the injuries and everyone forgets how scary the Nets looked like before Durant and Irving decided to play GM (they had claxton, brown, allen, joe smith etc all ready unreal)

That being said if they just had kept Caruso this would have gone differentl. Those Denver games all came down to loose balls and pOa defense and just losing slightly

Yes, an uncoachable pain in th a$$. Clearly a day to celebrate. Still a good player, no longer great but I do appreciate the ring and wish him the best. Now we can get on to actually building a team. Many teams have won championships without him including the Lakers, we can do it again. Basketball will be fun to watch again.

Uncoachable? Some of these comments are just weird? Lebron played exactly how JJ asked him to last year. Damned if you damned if you don't. I guess the whole team quit on Ham but I've never heard Vogel or any other coach complain about him not being coachable and that includes Steve Kerr in the Olympics

I agree with what you said, but at the same time it was time to move on. You’re not winning a title when your second best player is a 41 year old player. It’s been time that we get younger. Old players don’t get younger they just get older I hate to sound like Charles Barkley, but in this case he’s right. We aren’t beating the Spurs or the Thunder in our current state and we need to get younger.

I'm prejudiced some on him; he's a local kid, like Vando. He's streaky, not really great at any one thing, but he can hoop.

Thing is, we're not getting anyone better, no matter if he's 20, 25 or 30. If i hear "next year is the year" one more time, im gonna snap... just watch Rob say exactly these words though LOL.

Too much drama , need for attention and fakery for not so great results by Lakers old standards ( yes , I'm living in the past) .

    Good riddance .

In regular season, Lakers were 0.599 (287-192) with LeBron, and 0.448 without him (70-86) (i.e., 49-win season vs. 37-win season).
After the Doncic trade, Lakers were 0.623 (48-29) with LeBron, and 0.567 without him (17-13) (i.e., 51-win season vs. 46-win season).

LeBron effect isn't as drastic as some people make it out be. We missed the playoffs twice, and got bounced in the first round three times. Compared to Baby Lakers era, this was a massive upgrade (with also the help of AD), but by Lakers standards it is barely better than the post-Magic / pre-Kobe era.

It ends a tenure that began in 2018 when James stunned the sports world and signed with the Lakers from the Cleveland Cavaliers. He led the Lakers to a championship in 2020 and won his fourth NBA Finals MVP. James made history in February 2023, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most points in NBA history. Los Angeles made the playoffs in all but two of his seasons with the team.

James is the only player in Lakers history to have averaged 20 points, five rebounds and five assists per game in more than five consecutive campaigns, hitting those marks in all eight of his seasons in Los Angeles, according to ESPN Research.

Thanks for the ring Lebron. Mucho respect for telling us you're leaving before free agency.

Now let's move on the Luka era.

I wrote a response, but what’s the point. LeBron is gone. If we have an injury to Reaves or LeBron and miss the playoffs, we can revisit it then.
