I know many are hyped on the prospect of Kessler but:
He missed 77 games last due to a torn labrum in his left shoulder last year and the season prior he missed 24 due to a variety of ailments, primarily hip and foot injuries.
That is just a scary track record for a young big man.
I would much rather have Duran Duran, but we can’t beat Sactown’s offer of Sabonis.

 

I don't care if Duren is interested in Sacramento, this is a 22 year old trying to secure generational wealth here. Plus his agent probably sees Sacramento as a more likely sign and trade partner since they can send Sabonis back to the Pistons.

 

Sorry, to be clear: if duren wants to be here he has to only want that. Just wanting out means we’re out.

 

Kessler played since college with the torn labrum, they white shirted him last year to tank. And what a move. I think Kessler is pretty healthy actually.

Personally I’m not hyped with a 3 max guys team - I think that’s the wrong way to build under this CBA.

I would have preferred Luka and Reaves with 4-5 role players and one of them being Lebron who is a pseudo second option.

I’d rather not have Duren, he isn’t an elite defender. Much rusher have Kessler.

It says a lot that your team and fans won’t give you an extension, and that they’d be happy with Turner and Herro.

You’ll build out your starting 5. But after that, you better hope you’re developing some youth guys that are good - but not too good or you won’t be able to afford them.

 

I’m in agreement with you on this.
I would have much rather built out a well balanced team.
I’m more and more leaning towards the idea that Rob really doesn’t know how to do this.
