If we don't get Duren or Kessler, Pelinka will be absolutely brutalized online. As a Liverpool fan, I just watched a manager one year removed from winning the Premiere League get sacked because the fan sentiment turned on him so harshly. Pelinka could get fired soon if he doesn't secure one of those two.

Hey I lost track early on cause not much more was said here about him, but how did the latest import "Big" from China do last year? Injuries or wasn't really All That?

We’ll know a lot about Jokic by the way the Lakers move. Hear me out.

a 1 year stop gap deal for Ayton is not bad. I’m sure Rob and Mark are in communication with Luka. If your boy signs with us as a free agent in 2027 are you cool with us doing 1 year deals this season? Are we all in agreement that we will make a run at Jokic as a free agent? Luka is the one who will be giving intel so this won’t be a you burned Luka.

Now if Luka’s like or we are like we don’t have a shot at him and he plans to sign in Denver then we’ll see the Duren deal announced or a shift to Kessler. Personally I don’t think it’s Kessler it’s Duren.

But that’s why there’s no Gafford deal.

I think if you see the stationary Ayton back Jaxson Hayes and Michell Robinson nice 1 year deal. Then you know Jokic is in play. So we’ll see.

He’s exceptionally skilled. Showed good in summer league. I would expect any trade for Brown for him to be a part of.

how do we contend next year without Lebron? He is still an all-star level player, so we're extremely unlikely to get anyone even close in FA.

I dont think we contend without Lebron. I also dont think we contend next year with Lebron making over 30M

So this really puts Pelinka in a difficult situation.

We don't have enough assets to trade for high level guys that can make us contenders, and acquiring them through RFA will entail a massive overpay

Yeah, kind of what I was referring to. Did he get any run at all / how did he handle it ..... or still a hoped for future contributor?

Seems pricey for a backup center on a team paying Markkanen, JJJ and Kessler in the frontcourt......

I thought Ja would have been interesting with the Clippers if they really trade Kawhi for Ingram.

Ja, Lillard, and Brown WOULD be interesting though.

I wonder if Memphis will keep both Grant and Stewart.

I imagine they could, but do they want to. Maybe one of them is still an option somehow?

Seems high based on the past couple years.

Hopefully that's because they're losing Kessler to us

Yeah allocating $130-140M in cap space to Lauri, JJJ, Kessler, and Nurkic would be…something. For the first time I’m actually wondering if there’s something to this.
