I thought the Butler + #11 trade for AD was a no brainer for both sides. I'm surprised they didn't execute on that. GSW are a perfect fit for AD.

Basically the current Giannis trade, except Detroit sends Duren, Caris Levert & Duncan Robinson for Turner & Herro. Since the bucks have Duren, they are happy to send out Ware for a 1st, a second and a swap. We send Vando & Knecht to match contracts for Detroit and the Bucks and also get about 12m in cap relief.

 

Isaiah Stewart was a target of mine, he is under contract for 14.5m. He is one of the best rim protectors in the league. He also got traded to the Grizzlies this week for 3x seconds.

Sabonis makes alot of sense for Charlotte.

Adding Sabonis who is a dynamite passer to that team is probably a top 3 offence. Miller 38% on 8.2 attempts and Knueppel 43% on 7.9 attempts are the two best shooters in the league. You got Coby that is 39% on 5.2 attempts and Naz Reid that is 38% on 5.8 attempts.

There are rumours of Giddey as well. I don't know how they could pull it off, but either or both of those guys would be a high octane offence.

Duran/Lakers makes so much sense. So the Lakers can go this route. 22 years old. The team is younger. Suddenly you’re looking at Luka Reaves Carr Duran that looks like Knicks light. And you have Thiero a new OG clone now the Lakers look younger and explosive.

So while the talk today will be the Warriors and LeBron and Anthony Davis.

that number matters a lot, actually. if he takes 10m less, i think they can move schroder into an exception and afford to keep both wade and ellis. if they keep schroder, they may not even be able to afford wade under the second apron. then again, gilbert's one of the very richest owners and may not care about the second apron that much.

 

Not going to lie. That would be good for the league. I think it would have a lot of winners here if that happened. But I don't see Davis ending up there. I do however see LeBron ending up there and that would be a win for LeBron, a win for Lakers, a win for league and a win for GSW.
