I mean i would be really tempted to take Evans. The thing that I like mpst about him is that he has deep range and he is super-high volume. None of this hesitation non-sense. I mean he does provide that aspect, which is something that players likt Rui and Kennard do not. That's really soemthing we don't have outside of Luka. It would immediatly satisfy a need. Of-course, one could argue that shooter some a dime a dozen, and could get one for the minimum. But people are not talkign about Kennard taking the minimum, and he's really not that good.

Maybe the 5th with the Clippers.
That's where a few small guards are expected to be picked and they don't really have a use for it

I’m not pretending anything, we have to just be honest about things. Luka won’t ever be a lockdown defender. So how much improvement is there really left? He is probably the best scorer in the league and one of the best play makers. If he is a neutral defensively, his net rating is still wild.

Out of the things you mentioned; complaining to the refs is one he could really improve on. I think he is probably a good leader since all his team mates love him and he is tough as they come too. The other stuff about taking shots and dominating the ball is where you get lots of value from Luka - asking him to be more of an off ball player doesn’t make much sense to me.

Anyway, out of his contemporaries, Brunson and Shai won a single title. Out of the generation before, AD, Jokic and Giannis only won a single title. Even going back further KG and Dirk are only one time winners. I don’t know why we should have expectations on Luka doing more since it’s very difficult to win and only more so in today’s league that is focused on parity.

Luka is 27, guess how many rings Jordan had at his age?

You don’t trade a player like Luka who can give you a championship level run any year for the next 6 years. You put the best team around him you can and try again and again. Not sure why you are insinuating anything else.

Not sure we’ve chosen yet if we’re going to be an over or under cap team.

I assume they have a decision tree with various situations that send them into different directions. None of them have been activated yet so we’re waiting.

I think we are talking about guys like Josh Pinot. Hit with a young prospect on the cheap.

Marvin Bagley. A high draft pick that you can hopefully turn around.

    Keon Ellis

    Quentin Grimes

look at that free agent list and look at all the young guys with potential.

they’ll make overtures to Robert Williams and Mitchell Robinson.

They for the most part want to bring their roster back and see how they look fully healthy. I’m sure Rob will work the buyout market.

but with trying to retain your big 3 Lebron Reaves Rui. And potential opt ins Ayton and then bringing Smart back.

    How much can you do?????

Evans is the type of player that could be your microwave 6th man off the bench. He has the skills, and he has the mentality. That more than qualifies as a top-8 rotation player. So we don't get a starter (yet) with #25, but very well could get an immediate 6th man, and that's pretty damn good.

But, I could see this board crapping on this idea becasue they don't seem to like skinny dudes other than Reaves.

Exactly, we should add Keon Ellis to that as well probably.

Thybulle and Beasley aren’t young per se but they have upside on cheaper contracts.

I’m always wary about draft picks outside the top 10 being able to make any immediate impact. It happens, but it’s rare. If we make the #25 pick, I’m hoping they develop into a player over 2-3 years and have zero expectations for year 1.

Yeah, it's probably headed to New Orleans for Missi anyway. I'm just saying, Luka wants shooters. Luka, here is your shooter. He's a damn good one.

4 years for 212 million for f***ing Trae young. These teams are seriously insane. That's 50 million plus.

These stupid teams conspired to screw over successful teams like the Warrior and Lakers who were willing to spend money and actually won titles because of it. Not there fault these other teams can't keep their d*** in the their pants when they see a semi-star. Like wtf didn't you go through this with bradley beal?

Here are some guys who are promising went through the list. Can be young rotational guys.

    1. GG Jackson Memphis Grizzlies. Sign this guy yesterday. Athletic can score. I would start him next to Luka. Not a great defender. But can grow into that. “6,8” 220 Rui type pick up. 20 years old. This screams upside.

there are some interesting guys on this list.

    1. Jordan Miller Clippers L.A. guy. University of Miami. Can score buckets getter. I really like his game. not that much defense.

2.Caleb Love Blazers. Same thing buckets getter. When he was given minutes he was like 15-20 points a game. He was scoring.

    3. Daniel Jenkins probably retained by Detroit.

    4. Spencer Jones everybody’s favorite talked about on here.

    5. Delano Banton. Can score good bench guy.

    6. Pele Larsson

    7. Dominic Barlow Philly. This guy would be an interesting pick up. Lob type guy for Luka. Can space the floor and shoot. When Embiid didn’t play he was the guy filling in.

    8. Juliana Champagne no way San Antonio lets him go. One dimensional just a shooter.

    9. Ousman Dieng Bucks love this guy. Tons of potential extremely athletic.

    10. Nikola Vuccevic C Bags old but steady. Surprisingly would help us. Can still space the floor and rebound. Walking 20-10 one of slicks favorites.

    11. Anfernee Simmons if you want a scorer to play off ball next to Luka in the mold of Kyrie. Won’t cost you a lot. This is the man to do it.

    12. Michach Potter Pacers. Skilled big man pick and pop athletic Center. A lot of yall would be surprised with this guys skillset offers what Luka is looking for. I could see this signing. As a LaRavia type signing. All upside.

    13. Kendrich Williams Thunder. Love this guy. Big 6,8” can shoot skilled. If we gave him 30 minutes he’d be great here. I could see this signing.

    14. Zaire Williams love this kid. Come home. Upside “6,8” sierra canyon. The Bronny James reunion. This is the definition of young cheap upside pick. That could develop into a Trevor Ariza for us with the right coaching.

    15. Coby White/ would be a great signing. Buckets getter. Would do what Simmons does next to Luka. The Kyrie off ball.

    16. Jordan Welsh C Bags. Intriguing upside. 6,7”

We are obviously Zeroing in on Keon Ellis.

didn’t want to discuss him cause I already discussed him and he’s been discussed a lot on here.

I love Pinots game. Would be great. Here. Would be great with Luka.

narrowing it down. My must haves are

    1. Pottier just because of his skillset upside rolling Center who can shoot. Athletic can dunk. Shoots threes. Shoots 3’s at a great clip. Protects the rim and spaces the floor. That’s the big we would be looking for. Williams and Robinson are great but they aren’t skilled like this guy.

    2. Pinot would be perfect for us.

    3. GG Jackson young upside guy perfect for us what we’re looking for.

I find this take funny because I’m far more concerned that going after the “sexy” names will end up wasting multiple seasons of Luka’s prime.
