I got a spurs trade that makes sense for both teams.

Spurs Dearen Fox to Minnesota for Julius Randle. Spurs get their rebounding power forward to put next to Wemby who can space the floor.

Minnesota gets their point guard who can score next to Anthony Edwards to help him.

 

I don’t mind Ayton coming back. I’m not going to go crazy in trades when we have Ayton. I will check on Kristaf Porzingis. I’m sure Ayton will do a Deangelo Russell similar to him and opt in and take that money.

We can also bring Nikola Vucevic Center that can have some good basketball in him. Can shoot make free throws space the floor. And rebound. I like him. He’s from L.A.

I’ve been saying it since Walter bought the team, but also because I can’t see us losing a big man like Rui’s playoff proven high 3pt and midrange performance …. that Rui’s a legit high return on investment for the Japanese marketing potential. Reports are that the Lakers supposedly want to bring back Rui and Hayes.

If Rui is given a slight raise to 19-million, it would leave the Lakers with 29 million in cap-room.

If we operate under the cap and Lebron takes 20-million, it would leave a 9-million cap-room slot, and a 9.4-million room-excepton slot available. Hayes could sign for a number close to his 6.5m cap-hold.

If we operate over the cap, we might be able to fit Lebron in for 30m, Hayes 6.5m and Kennard for 7m under the 1st-apron. We would then have the 15m MLE, which could be split up into two 7.5m slots.

In regards to Hachimura. He’s a must to come back. I don’t want to focus on bringing in another defensive minded Vando type and let Rui walk because I just had to get a defensive guy.

We know Rui can play defense when he has to. Ruis ability to score is needed. And you gotta have guys who can get buckets. Especially guys who can play with Luka and score with Luka. That’s Rui. Lebron is going to need somebody playing behind him that we can trust to score 15-20 points a game when he has to miss up to 5 games maybe more with his load management.
