Spurs are young. Like Boston and OKC did i think they will grow now with more experience. Now they have an idea the grind of these games. They have a long window if they stay healthy.

    Fox $222M/4 years

I don't think this contract is tradeable. Even if they attach like 2 FRPs, which bad team is going to take Fox, considering the Spurs are probably not going to be a lottery team for the next decade?

save me the lecture, but this is exactly the situation I'm afraid of getting into with the Reaves contract.

This is what they said about the 2019 Raptors team. In hindsight, they'll probably say it was a team stacked full of All Stars and great two way players: Brunson, KAT, OG & Bridges, with Hart, Robinson, Shamet, McBride, Clarkson etc.

The major difference maker was their team shooting - they averaged 40% as a team from 3.

I mean sure, but you can do this with a lot of titles if you want, all anyone will remember is they won. They earned it though, they went all in, piece by piece. Paid a steep price for Bridges, traded for Anunoby, Hart, KAT, added Alvarado for bench help this deadline, Brunson took less money to make a roster like that possible, I feel like it’s a legit title. It’s about damn time too, and I enjoyed that the Spurs didn’t get another, and if we were talking asterisks, last time these teams played in the Finals gets a bigger one, lockout shortened season and the Knicks were the 8th seed. This makes up for that lame one haha.

"There's four teams up there that haven't won in my lifetime… and I still don't believe these teams in my lifetime will win a championship. That’s Portland, New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks and the and the Kings. Imma be a dead man before they win... I'm gonna be dead and gone the next time they win a championship," Pierce stated on the podcast.

All the Fox hate is overstated from one bad decision. Guy was on an injured ankle for the second half of the playoffs - he is a fantastic player for them and will continue to be clutch for the next few years.

The Spurs need to trade for someone like Siakam, Gordon, Trey Murphy or just sign Rui. Am improvement at the PF and they're favourites next season.

What I’ll say about the Knicks. You gotta have a shot Maker Jalen Brunson carried that team.

42 points are you kidding me???

all you guys can talk all you want about these kids Harper Castle they choked. Especially Castle. And Harper with those blown layups damn.

that was like choke of all chokes. Entertaining series could’ve been better the Spurs choked.

Wemby was horrible in the 4th. He couldn’t make any shot. He got no inside position. His strength was terrible. He’s gotta get better. And he’s gotta get better moves in the post.

You never know when you get back. Dan Marino said in 1983 1984 I’ll get back and never got back.

    OKC is young.

and what I’ll say with Luka we have a shot maker one of the best in the league.

Fox Harper Castle aren’t there as shot makers when you need a bucket you can’t get it. Fox.

No Durant No Shai those guys get buckets. Another blown lead this time 16 points.

the fact is when you have big leads the reason teams come back because you don’t have guys who can put the lead back up like Luka guys who just get there’s and can push a lead up.

Fox those guys can’t do that. They just get cold.

so all yall thinking Wemby ain’t going anywhere. Facts Brunson one championship Wemby none. So Wembys gonna have to make some self decisions. I don’t think San Antonio has enough not the coach either. I don’t like the coach.

Wemby was gassed it showed. He had nothing in that 4th that’s the missed free throws. Facts are this team lost the championship after the OG alley oop. Or tip in.

which part of his injured ankle led him to go 3/15 tonight from the field and 1/8 from 3 with absolutely abysmal shot selection, taking contested long 2s most of the time.

Mitch Johnson definitely lost the series and the game for the spurs.

The key was when the Spurs were up 10 they couldn’t push it. Fox missed every shot and midrange.

and Brunson made every shot and mid range.

Yall think im crazy about Luka Wemby buts that’s why Wemby needs Luka. This doesn’t happen with Luka.

Fox can’t score. Is it me or was he better on Sacramento? Never saw that guy when he played us. He used to be cold.

Facts are Castle and Harper are very similar. Slashers scorers not shooters. No Kon Kenupels. No shooters. When they need a guy to score from a jump shot they can’t get it.

no Durants to settle things down. They have a bunch of slashers with Wemby. I see no spacing. The lane looked clouged.

Wemby and Luka you would see spacing.

But that 4th quarter was the story of this series. Not the fans. San Antonio let the Knicks back in this game and couldn’t score. Couldn’t get a bucket when they needed it.

I turned it off after Vassell had a rebound and just stepped on the line and couldn’t secure it. What a joke Brunson gets an and one after that. That’s basketball.

Don’t celebrate too hard New York. The guy who threw the egg at Wemby you’re still a b****.

Bro, Wemby is 22 and got to the finals in his first post season. His running mates are 21 and 19. He isn't going anywhere for the next 5 years - just let it go.

He was a big part of them making the finals. He was elite against Portland and Minnesota and never really recovered after the injury.

He'll be back next year, guys a good player and a good running mate for the young guys. I would trade Vassell & Keldon Johnson for a better fitting PF.

Fox, Harper, Castle, PF, Wemby with Champagnie, Bryant, Kornet off the bench.

These playoffs and finals reinforce that we need guys who don't shrink when the lights get bright. Playoff risers.

The Spurs choke job is generational. I'm convinced we would have not lost full strength against this Knicks team or at least make it to game 7.

Lots of guys who are good regular season players, even borderline all-star like Fox, and then they look like vet min players out there in the finals.

that means we probably need Lebron to make another run, since you know 100% he will get it done if we can get to the finals.

Luka and Lebron we can trust they will get their numbers if we can get to the finals.

I'd be giving Reaves another crack at it, but I'd definitely keep all options open there. If we can trade him for a guy who improves us and is a proven playoff performer, we have to do it.

If we give him the max and he shrinks again in the playoffs next year, that may be disastrous for the franchise because then we'll have a guy who has a negative trade value, and we'll have to attach picks to trade him.

The New York Knicks finished the 2025-26 NBA season with one of the league's top defenses, ranking 1st overall in Defensive Rating (104.7 points allowed per 100 possessions) and 5th in Scoring Defense (111.1 points allowed per game). [1, 2]
Knicks have that balance of an allstar big small and defense. Give them credit its not what Spurs did not do. Spurs were great. But NY had the wing defense and bigs to make life hell for Wemby.

I’m not in the business just cause you got guys 21 and 19 who are running mates you’re gonna run the league. We all in here watch a lot of basketball.

Everybody said that in 2013 When Westbrook and Harden and Durant went theyll get back.

Did they get back??? Just asking

so you never know. This isn’t Kobe and Shaq. If you want to take it there Kobe had his championship at 22 and Shaq was 25 so please miss me with that.

The Spurs choked. Clearly you can see that with the 29 points.

The Knicks won it and were clutch.

Wemby was incredible. I called him the goat. But have a smart solid observation and admit that he has alot to work on. His body and offensive moves Shaq went through it. He’s gotta own it.

And they have a flawed roster which clearly showed.

    Vince PT great take.

you need LeBron clutch guys this has proven to me you need guys who can deliver in the clutch the Spurs just couldn’t deliver. All they needed was a couple of scores and couldn’t get it. Fox Castle. Couldn’t get it.

Guys like Luka are run stoppers they stop runs when you need buckets they get them. Lebron gets points. We gotta bring Lebron back. You can’t just plug guys in.

Glad AD got us our title to.

And congrats to our former Head Coach Mike Brown. Great guy. Wonderful man.

Sacramento Kings fired him. And he wins his championship. Vivek Ranadive. Great job firing this guy.

Mike Browns offense his brilliance drove this team with his offense.

Durant left you remember? I wont say they choked Knicks just plays better in the clutch. I think your not taking into account NY defense. Its like back in the day what Lakers and Bulls did in clutch moments.

You keep talking about Wemby coming to the Lakers. The guy is going to sign a 5 year supermax with the Spurs - that's 6 years under contract left. He will be 28 when he is an unrestricted free agent... unless you think the Spurs are going to trade him before then... and if they do it'll be at minimum 5 years away. Luka will be 33/34 when Wemby is available.

We all like Wemby, I've been calling him GOAT potential for 2 years. He might come after Luka or at the end of Luka, but he may also have some bad injuries over the next 6 years.
