ascending deal starting at 37 leads to 5/200, right? you could also start at full max and descend, but i think ends up lower than 200 total

Regarding the hire of Ramadas: initial reaction, I was glad we finally added SOMEONE to the front office and that it was an outsider and not an in-house hire.

Not exactly the franchise i wanted to poach from and you hope it's a scenario similar to where we go hunting for hidden gems on the rosters of bad teams.

Hopefully he has some ties still to the Pelicans organization and can help negotiate a deal with them. Pelicans did let go of some of their front office people, so hopefully they didn't remove all his contacts.

Definitely think that's a part of it. On one hand, you see the changes taking place and know what the Dodgers guys are capable of.

But then you also see Jeannie, Rob, and Kurt still around and a lot of questions and concerns pop in the minds of you and your agent. Particularly since Jeannie's whacked 3 of her brothers and there's also a graveyard of coaches around the franchise.

We're talking about people who are already in dream jobs making lots of money. They can afford to be patient.

Fortunately for us, there are bigger dumpster fires in the league without the positives of our franchise.

Things are trending in a positive direction organizationally. There was a dude here who told me Rob would be fired this summer, lol. That was never going to happen. Either way, he's on the clock. His eventual termination will be coming within the next 2 seasons, IMO.

Then, we can go get our Andrew Friedman.

I want no part of dirty players who try to injure others. He should already be out of the league.
Champ is an interesting one. I’m not into the Spurs enough to know why they wouldn’t keep him. Seems pretty important for what they do.

Spurs are keeping Champagnie. Video says they're declining 1 year team option in order to try to sign him to a bigger, longer term deal.

yeah, clickbait-y stuff there. they have his bird rights and plenty of room under the apron. they'll determine a number before they decline the option, and if they can't, they'll pick up the option and let the process play out. nothingburger.

as for dort...his stock has to be pretty low right now, imo. i don't like his style of play, and i think he's a bit oversold:

okc's depth papered over a lot of warts this year. it's nice to be able to pay dort and caruso each 20m to be pretty meh for 82 games then kick it into high gear for the playoffs (or a single series, in dort's case).

we can't afford that luxury. we need dort pre-contract. caruso pre-contract. champagnie current contract. all of these guys were undrafted, btw.

Somebody should post a single paragraph summary of all of these videos :D

it’s amazing how much content is out there today, but it’s also amazing how little of it is actually worth consuming

One above kind of gives it away in the thumbnail—potential buyouts/cap casualties like Isaac, derozan, valanciunas, hield, even Paul reed. Mentions some I don’t think will be (reed, Dunn), but there will also be some surprises like every year.
