Dude was a point guard and then a point forward after the growth spurt …. in HS. He should be a beast on close outs. Assuming teams think anyone needs to close out on him. Plus the Ka Boom lob threat if he can set great screens and be smart with knowing when to cut and back door. Ought to be able to push the break with his own rebounds at times. Work on those old handles too Kid.
all summer it's shooting. that will be his ticket to get on the floor. what he lacks on defense (just getting accustomed to nba speed, avoiding fouls, etc.) can only be learned with real nba minutes against real nba players. he'll get all of what were knecht's minutes last year is my guess. first month or so of the season, jj fed knecht like 15-20mpg pretty consistently, so i'm hoping thiero gets that chance next year.
This exactly, along with a big azz bucket of attitude. This kid has MONSTER stamped all over him. The parts I can see anyway...lol.
Looks out of control, probably wants to dominate really badly and is over doing it. Doesn't help his handle isn't great and he can't shoot.
Can we all agree to pump the brakes on this kid a little bit. Been seeings posts here for months about he needs to be in the rotation next year and how it was so terrible of JJ not to give him more minutes. I saw someone here say today he should start next season. Thats absurd. He’s an incredible athlete but right now that’s all he is — an athlete, not a professional basketball player. He’s a long ways away from being an NBA rotation player.
