if we open the negotiations at 30, i think he steve nashes us and walks to bkn or chicago without giving us a counter. he's a UFA, folks.

again, he's a UFA. you can't really shop him. he decides where he's going. and we're many pages into this thread with no one really presenting a realistic plan to get this two-way player back who holds similar value. or even two.

Agreed. Very much a gap year. I love what Smart brings to the team and definitely want him to stay and try to find more players like him. AR I think will depend on the money. But, I think he comes back on a well paid yet still reasonable contract.

I would love to see us go get Gafford. He played incredibly well with Luka, same age range, good rim protector, good defensive anchor.

JJ is a very good coach. He and his staff putting together a game plan that nearly beat the Thunder without Luka tonight is pretty impressive.

We just need more 3&D players around Luka and a better bench. While I like having LeBron play the 3rd option the money would have to be way less for that to happen.
