It would have been helpful to have the whole team healthy against OKC. We just don’t know what we truly have when Luka was out, does adding 35 pts a game in the playoffs mean we are neck and neck? Or do they just turn the tempo up and eat us alive anyway.

I suspect the MVP level of Luka bridges most of the gap of the depth of OKC. It’s going to be an interesting off season for a lot of teams that look like they need to retool or restart.

-If you want the number one pick, trade for AD. He's your good luck charm. Wonder if Washington can finally develop one of their lotto picks.

-Jazz young core could be a threat if they ever decide to stop tanking.

-Memphis lands a get out of Ja free card.

-Brutal turn for Indy. I mean they should be the favorites to make the finals next year and if they get a ship out of it, it'll be remembered as a good trade. But possibly giving the Clippers a future star when they're nearly DOA... don't love it. Surprised Pacers addressed it.

Should they? The made the Finals last year as a 50 win 4 seed and their best player tore his Achilles. Siakam will be 33 next playoffs. I get that they almost beat OKC in the Finals, but Denver almost beat them in the second round and they just went out in the first round. I think Indiana will be in the mix, but I definitely don't see them as a favorite.

I think so. No one in the East is scary. Achilles injuries aren't the boogie man they were a a decade ago. Hali being out caused some of the others to grow up and expand their game, add Zu to that mix and unless a star relocates (definitely possible), I don't think anyone else out there is as impressive.

it's where you fall on acuff. so tough for me. there's a lot of lillard there, but there's also a lot of kemba walker. not that kemba was bad, just...not enough.

anyway, that trade ruled for the clippers, and i'm mad. case in point:

wow. gm coming out and basically saying they imagined the coin flip would go their way is...i honestly don't know how to process that. like, you're fired? if your scouts said they felt that the extra 12 million of apron wiggle room was worth more than the #5, just say that. but if it was truly "we thought the basketball gods would favor us"...holy s*** that's awful. like you're what our fans think rob is.

    Draft Day Trade

    Lakers get: Gafford

    Mavs get: Ayton, LaRavia, #25, 2031 1st, 2032 swap

    Why for Lakers?

Get rim-protector/lob-threat who was a great fit with Luka and get rid of dead weight in Ayton and LaRavia. When you include the #25, salaries are almost a wash.

    Why for Mavs?

Two first-round picks and a 2032 swap for Gafford is a good return. Ayton and LaRavia are expiring ballast. Lakers over-pay a little because we have to make the Mavs feel like they won the trade. Mavs might draft Mara at #9, so Gafford might be expendable.

Wemby just got tossed. He deserved it too. He wound up and delivered a brutal elbow to Naz Reid.

No. We aren't giving up 2 first round picks for Gafford? That's crazy

That’s the razor wire I alluded to in Ayton’s thread.

Washington won’t. But if they traded that pick and George for Gianiss.

    They could have

    Trey Young
    Tre Johnson
    Gianiss.
    Sarr
    Davis.

yikes that’s a championship team in the East.

both OKC and SA play just fine without their two stars? So much depth of talent on these two teams. 2 ways players everywhere

Pays to suck for so long and get lucky in the lottery
