Every loss to the Rockets' bright side is it is giving Luka more time.

That's exactly what I was thinking. JJ knows they can't win against OKC without Luka. I really feel like JJ is a very smart coach. It feels like he experiments during the season and doesn't worry as much about the record. That's how Rick Carlisle operates. JJ was coached by Rick in Dallas. It's a Jason Kidd thing as well who also learned under Rick.

They know they can jump into a home court seed at any point with the right team as evidenced by us this year. I could be completely off base because it's just a feeling I have. AR is back. Adjustments need to be made as a result. And extending the series a couple of games only helps the Lakers give Luka more time. That's my crazy observation as a fan. Then again, I tend to overthink things lol.

i don't think that guy knows anything more than we do, but i also don't know why people thought he'd come back any sooner. i said as much when it first surfaced that he was leaving the country for treatment. if the miracle cure truly exists out there, i feel like teams would be using it, and we most definitely would not be the first, given our medical track record, lol.

Yeah absolutely. Private media networks are all owned or funded by billionaires that push whatever narrative they want. It's very noticeable when you look at it, and it goes both ways, it really depends who's pushing it
Difference would be maximum 1 day, probably none

Yeah, just don’t agree. This stuff works incredibly well and teams all over the world use it all the time. It’s not a magic bullet, but it might get Luka back weeks earlier than just natural healing. It could be the difference between 5-6 weeks and 8.

The problem was and always is that Luka is fat so recovery is long and arduous IMG_3517.jpeg

Rusty Luka won't change much against OKC. He is a beast but that team is on another level. They should just skip all this playoffs BS and have SA and OKC battle it out for the trophy this year.

that's basically what's happened with the western conference injuries so far anyway, right? winner of okc/SA will be heavily favored against whoever comes out of the east, assuming they're healthy.

Absolutely, no question about it. We can't win those matchups. Just getting out of the 1st round in the current situation would be a big success for us. Everyone expected us to lose in 4-5 to HOU.
