I find myself feeling like Rob has been hampered by Jeannie's concern for the money bottom-line and Lebron. I think Walter is bringing in people to help re-guide him into their territory, unburdened by what has been. Perhaps all these Walter guys can help us build that culture and a team experience. Lebron's time here needs to end because placating him has not helped us be a better team. Sad but true.

This idiot traded Gabe for Kennard. Hope he gets fired

Fun fact: Luke scored more points yesterday than Gabe scored in all 10 playoff games combined

Full credit to Rob for this one, not sticking with a bad trade just because

Oh WOW!! So there really was something they saw. Was looking really iffy after he played last year following the cancelled trade and all this year but being withheld from some back to backs. Whew!

credit to the staff for finding it and reporting it without fear of ruining the boss's plans. credit to the boss for a willingness to undo his own seemingly good work, not getting caught up in that moment, and then enduring the aftermath in which it looked like we made a big mistake. we apparently did not.

Yeah mentioned it when he missed the play-in game. Seems to be more serious as he missed game 1 too, so far.

Great call by all involved, abeer laid it out perfectly

Feel bad for him, seems like a nice kid and a good player. Hope we find someone similar

Still would be a net positive compared to Dumbo

Dumbo? If he keeps playing as he has said with the motivation of meaningful games again in the playoffs he's a more skilled player than Mark. Yeah I know it was not totally consistent through the season but it was also blown way out of proportion by typical reactive Laker Fans when he had off games. Can just take him at his word IMO and I hope he exercises his PO to remain a Laker, and in hopes of more money down the road. Does Mark Williams have that mid range touch? I'm thinking probably no way, but honest question. Our more pressing needs are elsewhere while we have Ayton and Hayes. But OK flame suit on for the he's not consistent enough detractors. Was still a HUGE plus bargain this year for us.

LMAO ... did I write all that and you're talking about .... practice .... we talking about .... errrr ..... Hayes?? :p :giggle:

You understand that I’m talking about DK, right?

Given that they were traded for each other…

knecht and two firsts. we still have those first round picks to trade. imagine we don't have ayton and we don't have those picks right now, and williams, luka, and reaves are on the sidelines. yikes.

i thought he meant ayton or hayes, too. this perhaps doesn't bode well for the current center position, lol.

FRPs, yes, would suck. Still, DK has been a huge disappointment for me and @sirronstuff. For different reasons.

i loved the knecht pick. i thought he should have gone top-10. it's too early, but we were discussing this in another thread, and in retrospect that draft was just crappy. many teams ahead of us should be way more disappointed than we are right now. the real killer was the jhs draft. yikes. just pure pain.

anyway, sucks for mark williams that we ended up right. it's going to cost him like, 40 million dollars to have had this injury at this moment. like, if his body held out for two more weeks, phx was going to have to give him 4/100, right? so they kinda dodged a bullet, too--though they did give up the picks.

Honestly, I always thought the issues with Williams had to be legit. Just couldn't see us rescinding the trade given our needs at center and the issues it could potentially cause amongst teams without really good reason.

Worked out good for Rob and the front office, but tough break for Williams.
