JJ is who he is. He played the starting lineup the whole half in last year's playoffs. And after the guys were breathing fumes, JJ in his trademark delusional arrogance blamed "conditioning". Now he has ran Austin and Luka into the ground and he refused to play the young players. Now we're screwed. JJ GTFO and take Pelinka, who gave him an extension after last postseason's s*** show with you.
There are limits to being a “sicko”, you can’t be running your roster into the ground. He played basically 8 guys tonight, barely, Vando and Kleber got 12 mins each. Then Bronny got 9 mins, Smith Jr 2, and Bufkin 3. Dalton can’t get some run? Thiero isn’t available? This was a meaningless game, we can’t end the season worse than 5th and he plays LeBron 39 mins. This sort of coaching is going to be awful for Luka and Reaves long-term.
This guy just doesn’t get it. This was a perfect opportunity to try new guys and he STILL played basically 8 guys meaningful minutes. Just ridiculous. He’ll run Lebron in the ground next.
Theiro would not have saved the Lakers from Flagg doing what he did. JJ Redick has been trying his best to run with a team with little depth and it just didn't work out in the end. The offseason will be a huge transition period with this team in how the Lakers add 2 maybe even three valuable depth or its going to be tough next year to continue to run with a 6 to 7 man rotation for a full season.
JJ has very little to work with right now. Given the injuries. If we want to talk about he shouldn’t have played Luka and Reaves after they got injured in OKC I agree with that. I also do they think it doesn’t hurt to give Dalton a shot.
Nick Smith Jr won us a game at Portland without the big 3 .. Redick is just terrible and won't be able to blame the medical staff forever
In games like this he should be giving Adou some good minutes Why not? It gives him more experience and it's not like it will hurt the team
ok, i was inclined to agree after watching the game that we overplayed rui, lebron, and kennard while not using any young players. then i looked at the box score and saw that those three guys were all slight positives in the +/-, while the bench guys were all huge negatives. now, i'm not sure that it was vando or bufkin's fault they got killed in their limited stints (i didn't see clear evidence of it), but jj's got something to point to if he were asked why he did what he did.
We know we'll be the 5th seed at this point .. Let the young guys play .. No need to run Bron , Rui and Luke into the ground . It reminds me 2013 when Darius Morris ( RIP) and Andrew Goudelock started Game 3 and Game 4 for us in the 1st round . Kobe , Nash , Meeks and Steve Blake were all injured . This is where we are headed in a couple of weeks
i wanted to see more of bufkin or smith and at least some of thiero (if he's healthy) and knecht. guessing when we're down a zillion to okc for the second time in a week jj will finally let them get some burn.
The team called up Adou and Dalton from playing for South Bay in the playoffs only to get a DNP-CD in Dallas. South Bay lost. Those guys are in a no win situation.
I never wanted Vogel to leave. Rob set him up for failure with that ridiculous geriatric, non-defensive roster he pinned on him his last season with us.
Come on, don't be so negative. You should be more positive with people's ability. He has a family and kids. And siblings. And a dog. Lives in a house and s*** too.
what are you talking about? Hurley's headbutts to Scott Foster can force him to call fouls on OKC! Being more serious, I think Hurley would've burned out his time in the NBA by micromanging players too much and being an a****** to everyone.
