The other is continuing to make a case for Luka Doncic to be named MVP for the first time in his career. Luckily Smart's been hurt in a weird way and I guess Luka got a one game break with the techs but really wish JJ can start sitting these guys.
AR and Lebron especially need rest man - Luka even came out saying he doesn't want to start the playoffs as the team need a break

I think Luka’s been going hard for a month. We destroyed OKC in a game at the end of last season and were rolled in the playoffs so who knows.

Anything is possible.

in a perfect world we beat San Antonio and Denver beats OKC and we beat Denver in the Western Conference finals. We had been playing well. This stuff happens. I never felt good about this game. But who knows. We’ll see in the playoffs. Maybe we’ll play better Tuesday.

 

I mean...from the jump we weren't in this game. You wonder what happened. AR threw it away from breakaway baskets two possessions in a row. At that point ti was like 9-2 and you could just feel it, couldn't you? It was coming. This was gonna be bad. And it was.

So: you have a very bad game and they have a very good one. Jit happens. But if Luka is hobbled, we dust for this year. No two ways about it. THAT was the worst part of this game: the thick kid lying down in pain, grabbing the hammy. I saw thousands of hope-bubbles for this year...just pop at that moment.

And gawd I just gotta admit it: I hate OKC.

 

We actually came out in the first handful of possessions ok, I thought we were getting good looks and Jake was playing really good defense on SGA without fouling.

Then the unthinkable happened. Dort scored 14 points in a quarter, 3 threes and 2 dunks… and most of it happened off 6 turnovers from Reaves and Luka in the first half. It was over after the first, they out scored us by over 20.

Tough game, both AR and Luka tweaked injuries in the first half. If it’s a grade 2 hamstring for Luka, that’s our season done. If it’s a grade 1, maybe we can get out of the first round.

 

The injury is really not surprising. I don’t understand why he was playing so many back to backs. He won’t be back until the back half of the 1st round even with a grade 1. Season is over

 

he won't be himself for round 1 regardless, and we're not deep enough to survive 80% luka in the playoffs.
