Man..can you imagine the pressure of playing for the Lakers period, and then with your dad, and he's still balling?

No idea why he still doesn’t keep his arms up on D to help make it more difficult on his cover. He’s been watching Smart all season, and even Luke does it properly and much better. And start getting in closer he seems quick enough to do that? All these pro teammates and coaches I don’t get it why they aren’t on him about his hands being down including LeBron.

I thought he looked pretty good out there despite the bad shooting numbers. A ton of shots just rimmed out.
Big thing compared to last year he looked like a guy who belongs out there - team offense and defense worked just fine with him in there and he wasn't the guy who looked out of place

Yeah, he's gone from a guy who looked like he does not belong on an NBA court at all last year to a guy who looks like a relatively normal, very end of the bench spends most of his time in the G league type this year. Which is not a backhanded compliment, that is real progress.

Simple. You give zero credence to heart, desire, work ethic and CLEAR significant improvement in all facets of the game in a short period of time at his still very young age. After a one and done college career WRECKED by a life threatening heart episode that required surgery and then straight into the draft combine. Plus mental training and GENES from one of if not the greatest player in the history of the game. Short but very athletic and will be super strong for his size. 3 of those shots last night that were in and out if they drop he had a great 26 minutes on the floor. Already. And has shown GLIMPSES in NBA games of various parts of what's going to be possible with the physical aspects of his game. Once those exact same type shots he put up THESE numbers below in G-League for, that he's already shown he can get in the NBA ..... start to drop more consistently, he becomes a rotational piece in the near future, let alone his prime years.

    Bronny James officially ends the G-League season shooting : 56% 2PT (84/149) - 12% better than last year 45.6% 3PT (31/68) - 7.6% better than last year He’s only 21 years old.

He's not a weak minded head case like Dalton Knecht, considering what he's had to endure because of the "nepotism crap" and nonsense career capping ("will NEVER be an NBA player") from people like you everywhere and in the media. Has also shown good passing ability, playmaking both sides of the ball and can play above the rim. 4-5 years to go until his physical prime "begins". But all you come with is because you say so and you will discount ALL of that, no doubt. If he makes another gain this summer anywhere near what he did this year, he's a rotational player 9-11 off the bench next year either with the Lakers or elsewhere. I'm rooting like hell for him, same as I was ready to do with Gianna Bryant. Who had the exact same things going for her with her desire and work ethic and being the daughter of of Kobe Bryant, minus all the baggage heaped on her additionally.

Yeah he looks much better. Still a 2-way player but starting to make a case to be the 15th guy.
Apparently they do 'stay ready games' which I imagine is some combination of scrubs vs g-league and they're saying he's been killing it.
Being ahead of Bufkin is telling.

We need to get better in the last 5 spots in the roster too. Bronny, Thiero and 2026 FRP + Vando and a Vando's level player (say Okogie or Shamet) would be great

And you think he is magically going to start going to the basket in the next few years? Or just stay in the corner and run around doing cardio and then occasionally shoot a ball and get the occasional tap on defense? And what happens when teams scheme him? When this turns into what I know it's going to turn into, there will be no mercy after this.

yeah, to my eye, bufkin is better and more likely to be a useful pro, but jj disagrees. he could be right; i don't see everything.

Dude either get glasses, or a new RX, and stop with the I am all knowing all seeing oracle of basketball here in LB, with pathetic inaccurate debate answers like that, as expected ignoring everything I wrote. Maybe your minions on your podcast think you're brilliant but I don't see it when you come up with nothing but blinders on unwilling to give an inch even on arguably lousy takes ... rebuttals. When, next few years, MAGICALLY, start going to the basket???

    :Shaqdisappointed:

No idea what it is in G-league and have only seen a couple games and a lot of highlights, but he certainly does there. And he's smart enough to not push it and get stuffed a lot yet like Max did, and Dalton at the rim. But when he's had openings and / or a step he gets into the restricted area and scores at 61% layups, dunks or floaters. Or dishes it to an open teammate.

Comparison with the rest players of NBA
Select the performance metric (color intensity)
    Shooting percentage
Color intensity highlights spots where the player shoots with a higher percentage compared to other players in the league.

Select the shooting volume metric (circle size)
    Player's preference
The volume increases to indicate where the player shoots more frequently among different spots.
