That looks fairly reasonable. You could make the argument Jokic should have won the MVP every year since 2021 or 2022. He has been far and away the best player in the league since Lebron's 2021 ankle injury.

Also according to the defensive metrics I've seen, Shai is quite a bit better defensively than Luka. Defensive rating and opposing shooting percentage favor Shai.

Overall I think the top 4 picks are reasonable when you take into account numbers and team record.

i'm not that worked up about it. i think luka's a better player than SGA. i'm pretty willing to hear arguments that jokic and wemby are better.

if luka wants an mvp, we'll have to win a ton of regular season games. given that he's a slow starter and tends to miss more than 10 games every year, it's not super likely.

this just means that if his legacy is going to be where it can be, he'll have to do it with rings like kobe did.

Jokic might be older but the dude has a game that will age very well. He will be an elite player for at least 4-5 more years and a very good player for the rest of his career. He can play until 40 and still be a guy capable of dropping 20/10/7 IMO.

My only issue with Wemby is I'm pretty certain for a fact that he will have an injury prone career. I just don't see how a body like his will hold up. Spurs are doing a great job keeping his minutes down and managing his health overall but man, 7'5 guys dunking and running down the court like that over a period of years is just not going to be good. But if you were to tell me he wouldn't suffer big injuries throughout his career, no question Wemby is the most sought after.

I hope they announce his name as Luka Magic when he gets the mvp

Luka will never win an MVP unless the Lakers are a 1 seed and there is no choice but to give it to him. It's the only way these f***ers vote.

i go back and forth on this. like, yeah, his game is predicated on size (which is going nowhere) and incredible skill (which is also going nowhere). but he also does little things like beat guys down the floor that will definitely fall off. i also think that when he starts getting hurt more (like he did this year), he'll have less fun--and i think he (and luka) plays for fun. when it starts feeling like a chore, he'll walk, imo.

anyway, yes, he should be mvp quality for at least three more years, which is about as long as anyone should plan.
