rescuing rui from page 2 with this thought:

unless he shows up big in the playoffs or something, he looks on pace for a pay decrease in the offseason. if, say, he's looking at a bunch of tmple type offers, does he come back here on a cheap one-year deal to preserve his bird rights? perhaps in a hot dog stand situation?

if he gets offered full mle elsewhere, he obviously takes it. but if it's tpmle or vet min here whilst retaining bird rights, i'd almost opt for the latter, especially with hot dog stand/kcp wink/winks involved.

i suppose we can also S&T him somewhere, but that would have to fit into our other plans, and that's a tough needle to thread.

 

you know the Lakers season has turned around when its' time to start yelling at Rui again (in all seriousness this is exactly why he doesn't get more rebounds - box your man out)

 

maybe i need a different angle, but it looks to me like he does box out there, and the ball just comes off a little long and toward the baseline?

guess you could argue he could have had a body on him earlier, but that would make helping on a potential drive harder. and i guess he could have gotten into him a bit more, but that would be a foul, too.

rui's a bad rebounder for his size, but i'm not sure why this is the play that had lebron riled up.
