Hayes, Smart and Kleber are out with LeBron still questionable.

    Good win,

But yet another game where they could have given Thiero some minutes and JJ just doesn't do it even though Giddey was going off on folks. Smart out, Hayes out - try another defender man

Lakers jump out to a 14-7 lead, Bulls tie it up, Lakers go up 22, Bulls get back in it...or Lakers relax on D and let them back in. A bit of both.

Lakers go into halftime up 67-62, score 75 in the 2nd half to beat a pesky young CHI team 142-130.

Luka Doncic - that one who wears #77: 51/10/9 with 3 steals and a block. 51 in 37 mins.
    AR: 13 for 20: 30 points.

    Ayton: 10 for 13 from field: 23 and 10.

The defensive effort we've seen from the Lakers against the Knicks and Wolves recently was only seen when CHI cut the lead to single digits. This did not have the feel of a playoff game. Not even close. Why wear yourself out playing D when you know you can outscore these guys?

How do you play 40 minutes and only have 1 rebound?

You have to try hard to do this

    Bizarre

I get it, but I think everyone needs to just accept Thiero isn't playing any meaningful minutes this season. Teams barely gameplan for individual games during the regular season, let alone make personnel adjustments mid game. JJ said it the other day - Thiero is a 2nd round rookie who missed all of the pre-draft process, all of the summer and then training camp with an injury. Then he came back, played a little bit and then got hurt again. It is entirely normal for someone of that description to not be playing. This is a redshirt year, he is not an NBA player right now.

Meh I get the rationale - I just think it's stupid and other coaches don't follow this methodologyI
It's particulary rich coming from JJ who decided in a make or break playoff game that he was going to play all 5 of his starters an entire half of a playoff game including a 40 yo.

    We know the history.
The kid isn’t a scrub, has elite athletic ability, and should be given some of Jake’s minutes in blow out games. It’s not like Jake is lighting it up from the field- we would be asking Adou to do the exact same things: rebound, play good D, and provide hustle.

Lakers melting in the third quarter again and giving up a big lead. It's tied at 87 going into the 4th

Don’t care about the breakdown honestly.

    We looked good.

    Then we looked bad.

But we found a way to win and that’s all that matters.

plays we finally got a win in one of these close games with them.

great win for us against a team we needed to beat.

Shut up Shaq and Barkley. Just admit you were wrong. Idc how we won, we won the game after coughing up the lead. The Lakers have struggled beating good teams all year and they’ve beaten the Nuggets, Timberwolves, Knicks all this week.

This one was especially important because it gives us the tie breaker and we did it with Luka, Austin, and LeBron all playing together and beating another contender.

There will be those that say we blew a lead, but they'll also conveniently leave that we shot lights out in the 1st quarter that isn't sustainable and then Denver shot lights out in the third. It all evened out in the end, and we out executed them to finish the game and OT. We're 18-6 in the clutch now.

Big game from everyone and of huge importance to our seeding.

I guess it's all even. Every ridiculous s*** Dne er took seemed to go in but Murray kind of sucked for once.

Lakers do tend to let go of the gas. They are really playing better though I don't think there's a doubt about that

Huge OT win to secure the tie breaker and get a leg up on Denver in the standings. Great stuff, killer game from Smart to shutdown Murray.

On to Houston and let’s try to ride this hot streak.

Something I thought about when AR made that insane miss, rebound and score. Watch what Ayton did, he walled Jokic and pushed him towards the basket. It was brilliant. He moved Jokic out of the way and that led to AR getting that rebound. Ayton was driving me nuts in the first half. I was thinking if he had a good game, at that point we would have been ahead by 30. He made some really good plays down the stretch however. I will take this win.
