He's a superstar in his prime, he's supposed to be able to carry his team to wins in big games. Not the reason we lost is weak sauce. He didn't play any better than Lebron, and he's 41 years old.

    Almost lol

Putrid game. Just out hustled. Our lack of physicality is crazy. I think with Luka/AR we need the other 10 guys to be monsters physically.
Little guards continue to kill us. Really need a Ellis type in the squad

We've been continually exposed against good teams, doesn't bode well for the playoffs. Still time to find a way, personnel isn't ideal but is good enough to be better. It's up to JJ and the stars to bring us there

Lakers looked bad vs. the Damned Bags at the Crypt and it was maddening and frustrating to watch. Just an all-around drag, and I'm frankly jealous of anyone who didn't watch it.

60-50 Bags at the half, then they just wore us down. 'Cuz, see, the damned Bags play defense. We, on the other hand, got rid of too many guys who can play defense.

And I thought Luka was bad this game.

You always want to beat Boston. EFF Boston! But when they out-hustle, get away with push-offs and elbows to the face, out-rebound...and get away with goaltending (at least twice, right?)...and you miss shots in the paint, only score 39 points in the 2nd half...it's hard to get happy at all after this jit.

    Dismal. DIZ-mulllll.

Mutt: I got good news and bad news for Laker fans.
Jeff: Alright, gimme the bad news.
Mutt: Boston made us look like chumps on our own floor.
Jeff: Oh no! Damn. Gimme the good news.
Mutt: Lakers are raising ticket prices next year.
Jeff: That's not "good news." What gives?
Mutt: Sorry, man. It seemed funny when I thought of it.

I caught some of the big college games this weekend too. There's a lot of talent coming out this year. I know I keep saying it buy I really like Morez Johnson, thought he had a great game against Duke. Knocked down a spot up three in crunch time and was on Boozer most of the second half and the last few possessions, I'm sold. Dailyn Swain on Texas has Herb Jones/Jerami Grant comps and should be there in the late first round fwiw.

Other random college thoughts: I really like Houston's two-way guards (not sold on the bigs), I think Sharpe or Uzan will be there in the second round. Another couple of second round bigs I like are Josh Jefferson, Chineylu (Florida), Bidunga (Kansas), Krivas (Arizona). Also Michigan State and Arkansas are some entertaining teams to watch, both have great guard play. Richmond on Arkansas reminds me of KCP and Acuff is electric!

We sucked but the refs were historically bad. Basically while we were still in the game, the refs took us out of it and our guys just lost it. Hard to keep trying when every call went the other way. It gets in your head. F them refs, who were they and why did they do that to us?

Michael Smith, Pat Fraher, and Curtis Blair. Why? I don't know.

willfully ignored this game, so i can't comment, but i can say that the officiating when we play boston is routinely bad and favoring them, so much so that one ref has basically had to quit over it, lol.

There were at least 10 historically lousy calls, even the announcers commented on a number of them. They were showed over and over to point them out. This is the kind of stuff when unaddressed makes me want to move on from this sport. Seriously, what is the point of sports competition when the refs are so blatantly picking sides??? I am on the edge over it. It is pure BS.

Lakers can't hit FTs, play mediocre D, and get out-hustled on the boards in crunch, lose to ORL at home by 1 point, 109-108.

Luka: 38 mins: 22 points, on 8 for 24, which basically lost us the game. He was 4 for 9 from the line. He had 15 dimes, but we need him to hit those shots. He was 2 for 10 from 3.

Why Luka dished to Lebron at the sideline for the (non) winning shot I don't know.

We can do better than Ayton, can't we?

The offense is all iso, guys like Jake and Rui are just standing around in the corners for a few shots each maybe while our main 3 guys take turns dribbling entire possessions. We have Kennard and we don’t even try to get him open threes, it’s just bad. And then on defense, we’re so easy to pick apart. Like Payton Pritchard had 8 points tonight on 2-13 shooting and 0-5 from 3, and he destroyed us

this game messed up two things

Our undefeated record in the clutch on close games

and being undefeated when Ayton hits certain numbers

I think this means we're screwed, not sure.

I’m at a loss on why Luka passed that last play to LeBron.

I think he was open deep, but decided to step in to get a better shot, and then realized he'd get blocked and pulled a lebron. I mean passed it to someone else at the last second so it would be there fault if they didn't make it.

    Allegedly.

Dillon Brooks is out with a fractured hand, and Booker is out with a right hip strain. Dillon had surgery on his hand February 21st, and he'll be out for the next 4-6 weeks. Should be a W there. GS is still missing Curry. That should be a win, too. I actually think they win the next 4 games.
