I mean, I agree to some extent. We probably have different red lines but, in the end, I consider it very possible that Walter will need to bring in his own people. Not sure when that should convey, it is entirely up to him. At some point he needs to put his mark on this team. Probably, the sooner the better but I am not as unhappy with Rob as many are. Still think Kobe had very high regards for him and that is generally enough for me. However, I do agree that if we cannot make some serious headway by the next timeline, then Walter needs to step in and do something.

I like Kennard, he's probably the best shooter in the league, bar Steph, but this was a waste of a 2nd given that we're in no shape to compete anyway.

I've seen a few people mention the Conley going back to Minnesota thing. I thought you couldn't do that too, but maybe there's some loophole I'm not aware of.

Buyout market doesn't look great. If Klay gets bought out I'd sign him just to do it. But I'd also like to see Bufkin gets some minutes. Timme is fun and brought some good energy for a few games, but I'm not really interested in converting him to the full-time roster.

i'm bufkin over timme, too. he was a late lotto pick who supposedly defended ok his first two years, now his shot has improved. he has good positional size, and it's ok that he's a bit of a combo guard given the rest of our roster. in theory, he could fit perfectly next to reaves/luka.

everyone laughs at us overrating our players, but sometimes these guys hit. you don't want to miss a chance at reclaiming someone for nothing. if bufkin's improvement is real and translates, he's a guy you're trying to trade two firsts for.

A guy I would want the Lakers to invest in if possible in the off season would be Nae’Qwan Tomlin.I believe this kid has a bright future. Was a two way who just got converted to a standard NBA deal.

Klay is probably the greatest 3&D guy of the last 20 years. Would be a nice arc to finish his career for his boyhood team. But same with DeRozan. We should get both if available.

Anyone that watches Mavs games knows if Klay still actually plays any D?

I'm assuming that Rob's team is running the scouting department, makes sense since they were already running parallel, to the Buss boys anyway.

i think fans would have appreciated this more if JJ didn't decide to play him because of his professionalism rather than from his performance. There are lot of example of good professionals who stay on teams and don't get PT: haslam, dudley were washed up and basically assistant coaches masking as players

The next 10 games should be a good measuring stick.

    Philly
    Golden State
    OKC
    San Antonio
    Dallas
    LAC
    Bos
    Orlando
    Phoenix
    GS

OKC and San Antonio are back to backs.
