As one of the guys who actually got that right, I didn't EXACTLY know how many games he played, but there was quite a difference between choices (something like 13, 33, 50 and 70), and I do remember that he was signed nearly at the end of the season, definitely without enough time to play more than 20 games.
Good memory and logical way of answering... Answering the year Buss purchased the Lakers...getting it right. Up pops a pic of The Good Doctor...blonde Playboy babe in hand. So fitting.
I got a couple wrong I should know and a couple right for the wrong reason. On the Serbs I was thinking Vlade and The Machine so I got the right answer for the wrong guy. But I nailed me some Nevitt!
Me, too. Only because Chick Hearn used to call him "The Victory Cigar." That's how I remembered him, was from Chicky Baby's nickname.
And what the heck was up with the Division winner question? We're the Lakers, we don't count those. Should have been how many chips have we won - and every good Laker fan knows the answer to that one.
17.... 2 out of my butt guesses went my way! I'm in a sweet spot for this. My age over memory quotient is at a maximum it seems. Old enough to has seen a lot of this and still young enough to remember.
I only got 9 correct. Some questions were way before my time and others were just straight up dumb to ask.
Excellent point. I guess I didn't think that one through enough. I was just shocked they threw a Jimmy Jackson at us at all.
^^ That's like an A plus for this quiz. Well, Bonk's 17 is pretty much the A+ in the curve here. So maybe 15 is just a good old A. In the meantime, us moderators are getting killed on this one! I got a freaking ten and I consider myself pretty much a Lakers fanatic!
I got a 15 and 2 complete blind click guesses. I did know the Jackson one though. I had a couple Laker fanatics in my uncle and cousin that used to drown me in Laker stuff all the time. I've always been a following fan but time/life has put me in positions where I don't follow that close. I actually know less about the Shaq era than most others.
I remember Jackson playing with us, but knowing how many games he played? c'mon. Also, I've heard the story so many different ways, but did he steal Toni Braxton from Jason Kidd, or was it the other way around? That team should've dominated and they let a songstress break them apart like they were the Fat Boys.
We should get @trodgers to compute the standard deviation so I can learn what "grade" Laker fan I am. I hope I made the B- cut off....
