Nice addition, elite shooting that fits so well this team. Not the POA or athletic wing we need, but an improvement of the current roster and a solid rotation piece for the playoffs
let’s see if the Laker shooter curse can affect his GOAT like 3pt percentages it’s at least 10% less for previous shooters so he’ll fall to 39%…still not bad
This will indeed be an interesting test, will the best 3 point shooter in the league by percentage fall off as a Laker
I am just going to copy my comment for the other thread here: ...this is a massive upgrade off the bench for us. He is definitely not going to improve our defense, but in terms of shooting he is a truly elite threat in this league. He is not just a great catch-and-shoot player either, he can knock down tough threes off the dribble and does it at nearly a 50 percent rate, which is pretty wild. Does it solve our defensive issues? No. However, it raises our shooting and overall offensive output off the bench so much that we should notice the impact right away. He is still young, very smart, and can also function as an above-average secondary playmaker. I honestly did not see this move coming, but it is a big upgrade over Gabe for us, honestly a huge one. JJ can even try to go small with Kennard, Austin, Luka, LaRavia and Timme... this might confuse the opponent for a couple of minutes.
In this case, no. This is truly an elite NBA shooter in his prime. I bet his FT % is over 90%, too lazy to check now, but these types could probably hit shots blindfolded.
Gotta say he was the one I wanted to draft in 2017, I accept all responsibility if he suddenly sucks lol
He is indeed shooting 91% from the line. His defense will absolutely not help us, but yes I’m just glad Gabe is gone and we might have someone who will actually hit open threes. Our players are getting some of the most open looks in the entire league, Luka and Bron are spoon-feeding guys, they just aren’t hitting.
yes, of course. if he's shooting that high a % from 3 so far this season, i predict he'll be shooting around 30% as a laker he doesn't move the needle much at all, but this trade is a win simply because redick can't play vincent 20+ min every night
Look he makes layups too, a foreign concept to Gabe. That shot is money man, doesn’t touch rim and the net snaps loudly it’s so clean, for the love of god please let that carry over to here.
That shot is money. Consistent, with a quick release. Stationary or off the dribble. Just a fantastic shooter and he's obviously not afraid to finish the layup, so... that's a plus over Gabe I guess.
