Yeah I don't get it either - I thought getting him like 10-15 minutes against the Wizards would have been the smart play. You need him to give a good 15-20 minute shift against the Knicks and then you can rest him against the Nets if you want to or keep him minutes in that 20 minute or less range.
only shot was over avdija, and no way they give us three allstars given our performance. his play warranted consideration for sure, though.
He can be in the summer when he signs a contract and gets traded. Trading him right now will need salary ballast and I don’t think we can afford to lose more depth
I'm beginnnng to think this injury was an achilles issue. Something is off, Dude's a beast he woulda been back a long time ago.
i'm pretty sure everything they're calling a calf strain these days is just a way of saying they're worried about an achilles rupture occurring. it's been beaten to death, but there has to be some reason why these kinds of injuries have become much more common over time.
^ isn't Giannis nursing calf injuries this season? Once his athleticism/explosiveness is gone... he's no Bron
They need to continue to keep him out until he feels 100% sure, there are way too many achilles injuries in the modern NBA, do not want him to be the next. If we lose games so be it, better than losing Reaves for a year or more.
This one is weird as he the rumors were flying that he was coming back for the Cleveland game - he's doesn't look bummed out on the bench. Feel like they are just being cautious and we'll start him back at the end of the road trip or they want him out till the trade deadline
I think there's like a 1% chance Austin gets traded before the deadline, but it is strange that Shams was confident enough in him returning to tweet (and then delete) about it for the Wednesday Cavs game, but then he missed two more games after that. But there was no setback?
