So is he looking like a 5th starter to you guys? He's sure making a case for it, IMO.

I think so. Doing a lot of the little things that matter and seems to be a good fit with that group.

Rob deserves his props for signing Jake. He’s a great young prospect who’s only gotten better here with more burn.

MEH … he clearly “lucked” into the fact he plays really good hustling smart perimeter D since he doesn’t value it at all and the fact Jake was his and JJ’s first call solely based on his high scoring career so far. Same with Smart and the gymnastics to be able to draft Thiero. ;) And snake Manon away from the Warriors. :D

Great doing-all-the-little-things game from him. Activity was very, very high

His 3 ball has been off for the last 10 days (excluding the Clipps game), so it was nice to see him find a no hesitation rhythm tonight.

Jake taking lessons from Smart - he's diving on the floor on random plays going ball to the walls. Like the hustle!

That steal he got coming from behind was a classic. It’s like he just took it out of the guys hands on a silver platter.

LaRavia might be the two way wing we need for the future, but we are still short at least one more. I wish Rui could fill that role, rebounding issues and all, but whether he can maintain this level of defensive intensity is still an open question.

I like Jake. Am i the president of the fan club? Who is?

I actually think that he can only improve and I already think he is a starter over Rui. His defense is absolutely fine, he hustles non-stop and his 3 ball will also improve, IMO.

Also, he's a glue guy to the fullest. AR in SF form, we can only hope.

Am pretty sure I was on his jock the first day we got him after looking at a bunch of his clips to see who he was and reading what Memphis fans were saying about him leaving it all on the floor every game including going to the floor.

I’m on team Jake too. I like him a lot and think he slots in better as a starter than Rui who is embracing the bench scorer role since coming back. Can Jake be consistent enough to stick as a starter next year? I’m still hoping to get a 3 and D wing for some of our expirings at the deadline. TBD. But I like what we get for the most part from Jake. Gotta improve those threes a little, but the the hustle, D, boards and BBALL IQ are there. Those are the things lacking in Rui which make him better off the bench.

The only real criticism I have of Jake is he can go to the basket and take these absolutely no chance, just throw it up at the hoop layups. He needs to just stick to outside shots or get those layups off of cuts, he is not, at this time, good off the dribble one on one. Aside from that he’s been great, can’t really ask much more from him at his price point. Also he grew up a Lakers fan and is a funny dude

An absolute steal. At 24. I would like 10 Jakes (hohum, @Cookie )
