funny i didn't notice it in the game, but it's clear kidd told them to attack him going to their right/his left, and his leg injury is on the upper right leg, where you need to push from to react to your left.

he mostly did a good job keeping them in front of him and forcing either tough layup attempts moving parallel/away from the hoop or midrange jumpers. where they messed up was not getting him to closeout--that's where the blow-bys happen, when you're rotating and the offensive player has the advantage of your momentum going the wrong way to start.

anyway, once again, he's not as bad on defense as advertised, and dallas probably wasted some possessions trying to milk that instead of just swinging and attacking whomever was in front of them, as basically none of our guys can contain on closeout drives.

I tried to make that point clear last week. He’s not a bad defender; he just spends too much time complaining to the refs and doesn’t always get back in transition. Aside from that, he does a pretty decent job defending bigger players.

You know it's a crazy Los Angeles Lakers record when it isn't held by Kobe Bryant, or Shaquille O'Neal, or Magic Johnson, or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, or Jerry West, or Elgin Baylor.

The Lakers record that Luka Doncic broke on Monday night was held by George Mikan.
Luka Doncic became the fastest player in Los Angeles Lakers history to reach 2,000 points, achieving this milestone in just 65 games
