I'm always thinking with injury in mind, even with young guys. Guards go down with ankle sprains all the time, especially the high flyers. I guess you can leave one roster spot open to sign a PG in the event of injury later, but there won't be much to choose from at that point. Like you say though, if we sign Jabari and Upshaw, then Kelly and Sacre need to go to have an open spot.

I guess I'm looking at this team and wanting to see some winning, so I'm looking for the best backups posssible at the most important spots. Not asking for the jump to the playoffs right away, but we have nothing to gain by losing this season, so I'm not rooting for that anymore, it's time to start winning and making the culture be about nothing but winning.

I don't care what Byron prefers, Black is a C. He has almost no PF skills. He is your backup C, and Sacre should never see the floor unless all other bigs are injured. And yes, that especially makes no sense considering we signed Bass. Randle is not a 3, so he and Bass are gonna split PF, or someone isn't playing here that should be and I'm confused. Plus, unless I heard wrong, Byron has already said he plans to play Kobe at 3 this season, so is he contradicting himself and his own plan here, or is he just screwing with all of us?

Why do these coaches and guys in power try to get cute with positions and act like they're smarter than everyone who sees the obvious? Just play guys at their correct position. Ryan Kelly is not a SF. Black is not a PF at this point in time. Damn.

Last year, when we had Lin, Clarkson, and Price, Mitch was saying our weakest position was the PG position and that we needed to get another one. He kept saying this, despite the fact that our only true SF was the useless Wesley Johnson and Young was still injured. It made me question what the heck he was thinking / watching. As the season progressed, we even began playing Ryan Kelly at SF. While Clarkson began flourishing and Lin began playing well, our SFs sucked.

Fastforward a year. Our lottery pick is a point guard. We witnessed Clarkson thrive at the PG position. We got another combo guard in Lou Williams. We have 5(about?) guys who thrive with the ball in their hands. We lost our only "true" SF from last year. We'll have a bunch of guys playing out of position to fill that SF void (just like we did with Kelly last year).

Mitch: We need another point guard.

Is that what we really need? Don't we need a more balanced roster? We have several guys who need the ball in their hands to be effective. The players who don't need the ball in their hands are basically all bigs. We also don't have a single 3/D guy on our team. It just doesn't make sense to me, and it didn't make sense to me last year either.

Lol, who hasn't reached an agreement with the Clippers. At this point the Clippers are handing out contracts with season tickets.

    :D

I have no problem with Steve as long as he's only playing a few minutes a night and he's not near any spike strips. He was a good guy, a clutch performer, and I respect him.

I'd rather try something we haven't gone with before, maybe 12th stop is a charm for Ridnour.

I'm fine with that too. I just want one more point guard on the roster.

    THat's hilarious, and sad.

Kobe talked to the rooks, so why not our FA's? I might not be feeling the love either lol.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kobe actually did reach out to them, but told them to not answer any questions related to him just to spite the media. lol

i'm ok with a blake/ridnour type pg. would have taken prigioni, too. just need a veteran at that spot, preferably one that isn't so talented as to make scott mothball the young players.
