JJ is making Gabe wear high heel sneakers tonight.

And on the other side, of course everyone is back

Including “all” who didn’t suit up plus our 2 centers?

To be fair, these are all NBA players(mostly), and are expected to play with a certain level of effort. For me, 70% of rebounding comes down to effort. There’s guys who aren’t bigs, like Josh Hart, who are great rebounders because they actually go after the ball.

Great game from Deandre. 10 for 10 I believe or did he finally miss? 25 points and 13 rebounds.

I heard the Kam Brothers say the Lakers are 16-1 when Ayton scores 15 points or more.

That's all on him though. 15pts a game, playing next to Bron and Luka should be done by halftime... and that's half-assing it.

It’s not all on him. They need to get him the ball. When they do it’s been very successful.

The guy who utilized Ayton the best was AR but he’s been out for 3 weeks.

wonder about causal direction here...as in if ayton's scoring, it means the other team is falling down on defense?

    had a minute to peek:

    ayton.jpeg

short answer to me is maybe he plays better with luka/AR than he does with with either all three of the stars or luka/lebron.
    ayton2.jpeg

he rebounds better in wins, but interestingly, it doesn't seem to be about getting him shots. he just gets better shots (or simply makes a higher percentage, though i'm guessing the former) in wins.

so again, my money's either on AR/luka combo opens the floor for better looks or bad team defense leads to easy looks.

    the rebounding, though...
a lot of the teams on the top end don't have much going for them in the paint defensively?

I don't know man. There are games when he looks like he'd rather be anywhere else but on the court. No D, no rebounds, just going thru the motions.

He is who he is. Sometimes, he’ll look like the C for a Chip Team and others like he would rather be home in the islands, relaxing in a hammock.

I agree with this but I also feel like sometimes he comes out completely disengaged. AR may be the guy who helps him play motivated
