maybe ballmer's offering them some sort of incentive to play well so okc doesn't end up with their pick i'm not mad at it though. i'd rather the clips end up in the playoffs instead of okc ending up with a high pick
yeah, i just have a weird distaste for the clips. mostly because they've built their whole identity on trying to knock us--specifically--off.
Doc Rivers is also tied up in this, he had dealings with aspiration while still the coach of Flop City.
It's already buried. They just have to pretend they're "working on it" for another 2-3 months and that will be it.
are you f***ing kidding me?? Attorneys representing Steve Ballmer are seeking to dismiss a lawsuit that alleges the LA Clippers owner participated in a fraud by funneling money to star Kawhi Leonard through a now-defunct green banking company, calling the allegations "sensational" and "patently false," according to court documents. The filing is in response to a lawsuit initially filed on July 9, 2025, by 11 investors in Aspiration, which filed for bankruptcy in March of that same year. The lawsuit alleged the investors were defrauded out of millions by Aspiration co-founder Joseph Sanberg and others at the company. At the time, Ballmer was not named as a defendant.
I still don’t get the comments that say the league won’t want to do anything to the most powerful owner (?) in the league. Why? What’s he going to do? Silver is already viewed as pretty ineffectual. He’s not in that secure of a position himself especially with the Feds now looking into the earlier gambling stuff having been allegedly swept under the rug.
i think it's less about ballmer's power and more about whether it's generally bad for business to have this kind of stuff exposed. again, fine by me now that our owner is super rich. hot dog stand time, and now we've got full precedent to just lie, cheat, and steal all the way. what the league is ignoring right now is going to write the blueprint for cap circumvention. the clips were early adopters and got s*** from it. now that it's weaponized, i'd like to see what the owner of the dodgers can do with it in the nba.
eh...it's a long season. when leonard plays, they'll beat lots of people. if leonard plays 60 games, it will be the second time since he's gotten there. harden has also played in almost every game.
maybe chris paul was the problem there? they went on this crazy win streak not long after he was sent home
