When the step-back threes are going in, that's fantastic. Makes him unguardable. However, when they're going in at such a low clip, teams are immeditely grabbing those rebounds and scoring in transtion. Jason Timpf pointed out a stat, but pointing to this, but I'm not going to go back and watch it. LOL. Maybe later.

Either way, I think still he's hurt. His legs, elbow, shoulder, etc. Also, he had a better second half against Memphis, and I wish he relied on getting more downhill so he can get into his midrange and floater.

I also hope he consider taking summers completely off and resting his body. He's been playing against professional adults since he was a teenager.

Yep. Pointed that out last page & just referenced it again in response to @abeer3 and his post. You could clearly see it.

FAT chance. :( (Luka pun intended)

Speaking of that it's really a lot of Luka hate popping up everywhere claiming if you can't see the weight he's putting back on you're blind. And claiming like 15lbs. I think these types are full of 15lbs of ****. :swear:

From the link above that VladeD posted, for all you non Apple Android/PC types ;)

“Injuries continue to ripple across the NBA, with high-profile scares involving Nikola Jokic and Victor Wembanyama dominating headlines over the past week.

Now, concern is building in Los Angeles.

Luka Doncic has shouldered an enormous workload for the Los Angeles Lakers this season, but a troubling injury update has raised questions about how sustainable that burden truly is as the calendar turns to January.

Lakers Star Playing Through “A Lot of Pain”

Doncic’s physical condition has quietly become a growing storyline behind the Lakers’ uneven recent form.

“Doncic is playing through ‘a lot of pain’ right now,” Ashish Mathur wrote, via Lakers Daily. “The former Dallas Mavericks star is dealing with a left elbow injury and ‘nagging’ pain in both legs, sources said.”

According to the report, the 26-year-old is experiencing “sharp” discomfort in his legs that has limited his explosiveness attacking the basket.

Despite undergoing “around-the-clock treatment,” Doncic is believed to be refusing to sit out, determined to remain available as the Lakers navigate an already thin rotation.

Los Angeles are currently without Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, and Gabe Vincent, absences that have disrupted continuity and forced constant lineup adjustments.

    The instability has fueled”

But let LeBron, finally getting back into somewhat game shape after missing all of camp and first big chunk of the season, step into the breach with AR out too and supply some desperately needed scoring .... and you get this from waay too many.

@sirronstuff "LeBron’s fault tbh. He’s demanded his touches despite things going great without him. He’s not giving team what they need most. He’s not getting his big man involved."

I told you Luka was injured. He still gets all-star numbers, but doesn't look the same. As soon as Reaves comes back, he'll sit.

What does this even look like on the court, when the other team is throwing everything they have at Luka with AR out?

This may mean a hell of a lot of different things. Hopefully in this case it's good news.

I don’t know about his legs hurting but you could definitely see him pointing to his elbow and grimacing, during a timeout the last game.

I don't think he's looked right since coming back from the birth of his child. This was before the calf injury. Can't tell what or where, but physically seemed a little off since then.

Also it looks like we've pivoted to him not going superhero mode in Q1 and are trying to have him pace it better and if he does unload the clip, save it for the 2nd half. That'll benefit Ayton and Rui if either get their head out of their a**.

BUT even while not looking right and not being able to shoot from deep, he's still scoring better than anyone else in the league.

    In short, we're spoiled.

He’s scoring but not always on good efficiency, and sometimes he freezes others out and also he has been poor defensively.

Luka is a top 5 player, we’re allowed to have top 5 expectations.

That's fair and I think he has to be top 3 for us to win a ship, currently he's tapered off and isn't that today.

But i have limited expectations with the current roster build.

Freezing some of these guys out is still the right play.

I can live with the shooting because even if he's shooting 20%, he's still drawing the crowd and that will keep the lanes open for him and teammates and continue to provide the 4 on 3 plays.

The lazy TOs is probably my biggest gripe because he knows better.

36/9/8, shot 50%, 40% for 3 (while the rest of the team was atrocious). Very, very good. Incredible clutch performance in the 4th, but then... that's what he does.

Just a different player when he can hit 3s. Difference between all NBA vs MVP type of game
