Twitter C bag fans were celebrating since their hairless wonder was fouling AR without being called and they called it locking AR up in the first few minutes, afterwards they complain about free throws when he scored 36 on his usual efficiency
I think the question needs to be asked, do we trade Luka for a better running mate for our first option AR?
You mean Giannis? I wouldn't do it. Offensively, I don't think he's a good fit with Luka. They're both way too ball dominant. AR is super effective even playing off-ball. Giannis is also on the opposite side of 30 and gets injured too often. EDIT: never mind, I re-read your post and realized you had AR as our 1st option lol. I wouldn't trade Luka for Giannis either, simply for the fact that he's 5 years younger.
He tried his best, but there was no way we were winning that game on the 2nd night of back to back with no Luka and Smart.
It’s a tongue in cheek comment, but AR is surprising everyone with how he is able to shoulder the load this season with Luka and LeBron missing so many games.
Must have been aware of all the additional skills and strength work over the summer, but yeah a hell of a statement he made and he was absolutely correct.
It's a bit surprising to see Reaves almost always healthy for the most part considering he's not physically the biggest or strongest and goes through a lot of contact. You would think he'd be in/out with how many minutes and effort he's putting out there but he just seems to always be ready.
…. not to mention all the big collisions with so many charges he takes. He’s strong enough now especially in his legs, and with some muscle added up top that he’s the guy seeking the contact to get defenders off him going to the rim.
I can’t see Austin for Giannis for multiple reasons before you even get to his actual performance on the court which has been awesome to watch. One of the biggest is I can’t see a reason why Austin would want to be with the Bucks which is a critical aspect of it given that he will be a free agent. The Bucks would want him to resign which I can’t see him doing. When you add his great play to start the season, age, health, salary, etc the trade just isn’t appealing to me if I’m being honest. I said several times over the years that these teams would regret not dealing with us in good faith on some of those past trade offers and here we are.
i've been right there with you. all the laker tax stuff culminates in gasol/luka deals, imo. we got saved from ourselves on several occasions because teams were trying to squeeze more out of us than they would out of others. joke's on them. i trust we won't be throwing all our firsts after herb jones, etc., either. if you want to be fair, we'll deal. if not, we'll wait and make a better one. as for reaves, i said from the get-go that i was a no on reaves for giannis, and i still am. giannis is 31, and his game won't age well. it's hard to imagine a realistic scenario wherein i trade reaves. like, okc isn't moving SGA. denver isn't moving jokic. we already have luka. if giannis doesn't do it for me, that's information. maybe i look silly later (i can see it), but he's off the table for me.
