You can get Kyle Kuzma to.

    he is available.

Jerami Grant is playing terrific. But I don’t want him on this team.

I just want Kuzma to focus on perimeter defense.

smaller trades Brandon Clarke on Memphis

    Sensibaugh Utah

Zaire Williams. Players that would elevate themselves on the Lakers.

Gradey d*** Toronto raptors. Had a great rookie year not getting any playing time.

I don’t know what the price is for RJ Barrett he would be great.

here’s my shot The 2028 draft pick unprotected. Dalton Knect and Rui Hachimura. Vincent.

    I want Barrett.

    It’s a bad loss.

two bad losses on the season OKC Phoenix.

Think we need some help more athleticism on the wing.

I know Vince’s teachings well. The actual quote is: “Winning is not everything – but making the effort to win is.”

Lots of people use what you said and don’t really understand the deeper teachings he portrayed. He was a very process orientated person and believed that sacrifice, hard work, will, faith, belief, consistency, habits made the difference.

Being entitled is a losers mindset. Working your a** off towards a worthy goal and submitting the peak is what it’s all about.

    still not interested.

    same.

i would like to ride a unicorn.

don't trust his health; nor do i think he's a good fit.

maybe not these two specifically, but the general idea: guys like these are out there right now, not playing on bad teams due to crowding in the development pipeline. we need to find another rui type. i like lotto reclamations because you can capitalize on the lack of patience or poor development on other teams (like some have done to us). yet another reason i'm not as keen on draft pick hoarding as others.

not sure why toronto makes moves when they're having a good year and exceeding expectations. i mentioned barrett several times last year and over the summer when we were supposedly pursuing wiggins (i prefer barrett). think that ship has sailed for now.

that's a lot to give up, but again, they're in a position of strength right now.

we need to deal with teams who are in positions of weakness, imo. who's having a bad year and ready to tank? that's who takes expiring contracts for useful players.

one guy i've had my eye on for a while is josh green. i don't think he's played this year, but he's played with luka before, is theoretically a good defender (not always practically), fits the profile we need (near 40% from three, can guard pg/sg, can put the ball on the floor and pass a little).

problem there is math--to get him for kleber, we'd have to add knecht (whom we know charlotte liked last year). i'd want some seconds back, possibly a protected first. and maybe charlotte doesn't want to deal with us after the mark williams thing.

anyway, stuff like this: young players on bad teams who are getting squeezed out by other developmental projects.

It’s obvious Vando is not in JJ’s plans. Don’t really get lowering what little trade value he has left with all these DNP-Coaches Decisions. One thing is for certain we need a backup plan to Smart as a defensive wing specialist. Somebody’s gotta be moved.

vando's trade value was negative already. he has two years beyond this one, and he's probably worth about half what he's paid per year (we pay laravia half what we pay vando, for example--and bruce brown is on a vet min). i get why we're not playing him (though maybe not in games when smart's unavailable--it's quite clear we need a guy with some fire out there every night).

anyway, i agree we're a couple defenders short--but they need to be able to finish plays on offense. those guys are out there. again, there are probably a few languishing on benches because they have no star potential or whatever (like djj was before dallas).

What the f***???? That’s Terrible News. R.I.P. blessings to Elden Campbell and his family. He’s from Inglewood. He went to Morningside High school. When he played for the Lakers Elden was the local player from L.A. he went to Clemson for College. Big Fella.

The trade that the Lakers have to make is with Charlotte.

    get Miles Bridges. s*** team. He’s a 3-D

you trade Rui Hachimura the 2028 first round draft pick unprotected Gabe Vincent and Dalton Knect if they want him. Since they wanted him already.

    Luka
    Reaves
    Bridges
    Lebron
    Ayton

gets you closer to a championship. Maybe add one more point guard maybe you get Green in that trade also from Charlotte.

Not just the wing. I really think Smart is not a good long-term answer. We need a 3nD forward who can play both the 3 and 4. We also need a POA defender. Unfortunately, the 3nD forward doesn't really exist (in terms of his availability for us). I do think we could pick up Keon Ellis to be the POA defender. I would love Herbert Jones, but I'm not sure how he fits into our "Best Five."
