So Jake fits good with these guys who can get him the ball in the right place. He is not so great at initiating a play and going and getting his own. He could likely get there, but haven't seen it yet. He does great when AR or Luka is feeding him. I think Ayton can get his own at a higher clip than Jake.

Jake's (and AR's) agent Aaron Reilly on that out of the gate call to sign him. Remember Jake in an early long straight forward interview said AR was NOT a reason he signed here.

I want more from Jake. I know he is a glue guy, but he didn't take a shot against DAL and only two against the Clippers. We need him hitting a few threes and cutting. There's no excuse for our role players not to get some easy looks with the passers we have on this squad.

I agree, he's taken a couple steps backward lately in that regard. He came out very aggressive early on this season, taking open shots, even driving to the basket. Last couple games he's disappeared and I don't like it. He looked like a steal and now he's slumping. Be aggressive! He's a smart player and a good role guy who is a decent defender. Needs to step up his offense again.

in fairness, it's not like he got a ton of opportunities in the last game. we were pretty much spamming the pick and roll with luka or AR, and he would go many possessions without a touch, iirc. the key for a guy like him is to be able to stay engaged and step up when necessary. it wasn't necessary last night. earlier this year with a bunch of guys out, he stepped up huge. he didn't forget how to play; his role changed. i think he'll be there again if we need it.

His size really pops - the ability to finish dumpoff with a strong dunk is actually not something DFS was able to do last year (i.e. Lebron's first game back)
I think JJ Is still trying to figure out lineups and a more consistent rotation and playing time with the same lineups will help him
