I never believed the “greatly” lacking / unbalanced roster accusations. Not a serious contender. It’s not optimal yet but it’s got redundancy in our most important areas and it has Luka, LeBron and AR for the apex Big 3 in the game, a healthy Vando and the additions of Ayton, LaRavia and Smart, plus a souped up Jaxson Hayes and great shooting big, strong Rui Hachimura still improving. With much anticipated Adou Thiero nearly ready in the wings to get our first looks at. Healthy and career contract year Gabe (pre ankle roll) and Knecht with still hoped for breakout potential. And all the assets, picks, swaps, etc to make the further needed improvements in the needed areas.

well, LTLakerFan and his jinx extraordinaire...

but i'd say the three-gamer in boston/phi/toronto that's a 3 in 4 situation almost guarantees at least one loss in there.

phx and the clips (who will have kawhi for our games, i'm sure) will each get one against us, and utah will probably get a random one for some reason.

i actually prefer some scheduled losses because letdowns happen (see atlanta game) periodically, and it sucks to know we'll have one during this stretch and lose an expected win.

but this is the optimism thread, so i'll just repeat that i'm glad we've banked a few unexpected wins already!

I would love to see everyone healthy at the same time, for a few games, so that we could see what they are capable of. I think Luka could just about carry us to 50 wins by himself, add AR and we are in the 55-60 wins, add Lebron and ?????? If he can elevate our win total, we become elite. I have no clue what to expect.

I keep trying to be more like @JSM as I grow up, sharing interesting Lakers news. Except he puts the work in and goes hunting for it. It just pops up on my phone sometimes.
