saw those clips pre-draft, and that first one where he takes contact on take-off and just dunks through it is still wild. that's serious strength/athleticism. as in, very few nba players have that, much less college guys. i agree we need to temper expectations in the short-term, but if he fails, it won't be due to a lack of tools, lol.
Adou did about as good as you could do in a 4 min cameo. His first minute and a half stint to end the quarter, he didn't miss any defensive rotations or let anyone beat him, also was solid in securing a rebound. The athleticism is real and he seems to have solid defensive IQ.
He's a big wing and athletic, something this team is desperate for. We're far away from meaningful minutes there but I like the glimpse we got. Really cool of his teammates and Giannis. Not sure why it was such a big deal to let us have the damn ball.
Protocols are ridiculous though when the players are asking for the ball for their rookie. Thankfully Giannis’ common sense prevailed.
