For sure He is doing better with the team this year, so far It's actually been nice for the depth players to get some court time and find their groove and show what they have to offer
Had to look up as haven’t listened to JJ’s presser yet. https://www.google.com/search?q=What+is+PechaKucha&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari
when i first moved to the city i'm in now many years ago, they did these once a month at this little arthouse place. anyone could come in and do them, and they'd have a bunch in a row and then drinks and live music afterward. it was pretty cool, tbh.
Coaching his a** off this season Another way to look at it He did age by 3 years from last night's game though from yelling at the refs all night You can see the stream coming off his head
Our plus/minus is only 3 points on the year so far. That means we are winning the close ones and avoiding blowouts, but we're also not blowing other teams out like other top contenders. Should be interesting to see how this changes over the year.
yeah, it's a factor we're not talking about. great teams blow the doors off people, and we're definitely not doing that. maybe that's due to us not having our guys or a full camp or whatever. that's a totally sensible explanation. but if and when we get the full team, we need to start having games where the stars sit the 4th. it's been like, more than a decade since we were there.
But I WANT to believe. Just not sure yet. But sans Lebron, we’ve been fun to watch. If he’s not the focal point of the offense, hopefully that continues.
I tend to believe (or at least hope) that grinding out these kinds of wins now will serve us well later. This team has gotten tight and lost a lot of games in the past especially in the playoffs. Absent injury, I expect us to be hitting on all cylinders by the All Star Break.
hope that's true, but good teams also don't get blown out by mediocre teams like we just did. not a lot to hang our hat on yesterday
I thought Timpf made a pretty good point on the most recent Lakers Collective with Lane and Buha. Comparing our team to recent champions, our team is more in the mold of the 2023 Nuggets than say OKC last year or Boston in 2024. We don't have a half dozen legit two-way guys that give you a really high floor on both ends of the court. Those are the teams that rack up the huge regular season net ratings numbers because they come at you in waves. In contrast, even when they won it all in 2023 the Nuggets were a +3.3 regular season net rating team, which is really low for a 1 seed. Like that Nuggets team, I think the identity of our team will ultimately be that we just get better quality shots than you down the stretch of a game. The Nuggets did it with the Jokic/Murray two-man game and everything flowing from that, we do it with spamming Luka and Austin P&Rs and LeBron (hopefully) as an awesome connecting/finishing/mismatch punishing piece. We don't have the athleticism or two-way depth to run teams out of the building, but we do have the offensive talent and enough complimentary pieces to beat pretty much anyone 120-112, like the Nuggets did to us 12/13 times or whatever it was before we traded for Luka.
Someone is just salty that we've already won the season series against them. But JJ is still going to have that march 10th game circled.
He's really doing a good job with the roster so far I like the team chemistry we're seeing Now about starting Bronny....
