Luka Doncic Discussion: Lean Mean Slovenian Extension Machine

Man I'm digging this team they have put together. It's nice to see Luka having fun out there. I told you guys this would be a fun season. He is just getting warmed up. The Defense that Smart has them playing is fun to watch. Ayton is playing his role very well. LaRavia was a great addition. Beating one of the NBA's best tonight without LeBron and AR!

As long as when LeBron comes back he slides into a role we are going to be in great shape this year.

 

Team chemistry hasn’t been this good since the championship run.

We got something going for sure. By my calculations we are the favorite to win the championship. Wemby is and will be good but isn't on Luka's level yet. Teamwise we have the effort to win sloppy games against good teams.

 

MVP

 

Luka needs a PG. He's an offensive engine extraordinare but he not a Magic or Isiah PG who will make sure guys will get fed if they are hot (I.e. Rui) or just get the ball rotating. He misses a lot of opportunities to start the kinetic chain when teams double him.

You see it when he doesn't play the Lakers will whip the ball around forcing teams like classic GS teams to go into that rotation action

Makes the offense extremely stagnant. You can see why Kyrie and Brunson made such a difference for those Dallas teams

 

Why AR is so important and Horry went brain dead with the trade AR now (at his lower salary no less) because he just duplicates Luka.

 

Tremendous playing the passing lanes in this one

Yes, Horry read too many of the posts on here...lol. Good to see most have come around to give AR his due. Luka is going to be the MVP but AR showed he can put those numbers up as well and lead the team. Different styles of play but we have our own MJ/Scottie duo developing. Hopefully with equal results. Makes winter so much more enjoyable when I can hammer the Celturd fans unmercifully.

 

I understand that scoring 200 points is different than when MJ ,Kobe or Wilt were playing but still be part of history is cool

 

I would argue that this was a bad game by Luka standards.

 

It was.

 

It was a weird game all the way around it seemed. Stoppage for free throws and little rhythm developing. The type of game we used to lose. Ugly to watch, nice to win.
