    Fourth option.

Kleber has been regulated to second, Luka to third.

He should have left an out so he could replace her or demote her to bring in his guy

Does that include decisions that don't agree with your "elite" basketball thinking on what needs to be done and players the Lakers value and their salaries?

You've already said if Reaves is kept at some salary level (above what you haven't stated it should be) assuming he continues to have a great 5th year and another jump in his game for a 3rd option that we're f*****. How's that going to work? What's your number?

This is the Mark Walter thread.

I prefer not to go off-topic, but if I was "ownership", I'd structure a contract where the salary goes down each year similar to Jalen Suggs of Orlando. Gives Lakers flexbility & Austin gets paid. I don't see nothing wrong with that. I linked it for you as well.

Most everyone is projecting THEIR preferences from anti current Lakers FO bias and player decisions on to Walters and have no idea what he is going to do there, or with the roster. Just wait and see and expect it will be done well, that we can be assured.

It’s genuinely great that us fans don’t get any decision making input. Everyone has their own biases and subjective views. Mine is that Rob is doing a pretty good job consistently, JJ seems to be a promising young coach and Lebron is still a top 15 player - so why would we get rid of any of the 3?

Rob doing a pretty good job .... nonsense. Because Mark didn't hire JJ (regardless of how great he's doing). Don't like LeBron's personality regardless if he's still top 15 or not. But Shaq was OK, LMAO.

For optimal team building having a guy who makes up a THIRD of the cap, can only play one side of the ball, can’t play all of the games, and is broken down by the time the playoffs start is plenty of evidence.
Having THREE younger, 3 and D players that make around $18 per season that fit better around Luka and Austin AND come with a much higher probability of not being injured come playoffs just is a better blueprint for a Championship team. Or, bringing back Ayton and two three and D players is even better if he continues to play like this.
This team has enough scoring and play making. They still could dramatically improve on defense and provide even better spacing for Austin and Luka with high level 3 and D players.
I agree that Rob had a great summer and JJ has done well so far.
