NBA is just rotten to the core. They're so in bed with vegas and gamblers!

Gambling is a real problem, I have my own impulse issues with it.

i don't think they fixed the lottery for the spurs

they've just been extremely good at sucking at the perfect time. and all 3 times they've won the lottery, the #1 pick has been clear cut and a generational talent

they won 28 games in 86/87 before winning the lottery and drafting robinson, but in the few seasons prior to that they were an ok team that made the playoffs a few times

in the early-mid 90s they were a perennial playoff team. they won 62 games in 94/95 and 59 in 95/96. robinson misses all but 6 games in 96/97, they go 20-62, and duncan's right there at #1

they were a bad team leading up to 2023, but once again they win the lottery when there's a clear cut, generational talent at #1

Just another reason to not pay full price for League Pass this season. I’m waiting until they drop it based on the Kawhi scandal, the never ending LeNarcissist drama, and now the betting scandal.
Alienboy better do something quick or he’s going to lose a ton more viewers around the world.

Except they aren’t. The NBA is entertainment and it’s working. I don’t really care about Kawhi’s scandal or the illegal gambling when I’m watching product like Wembanyama dominate or OKC vs HOU, or the Jazz turn the screws on little bro Clippers.

A threat to the NBA isn’t scandal, it’s poor product.

Honestly, I just don’t know what you do with Wemby. I read a comment where someone said it’s like Hakeem, Giannis and KD had a baby but he is 7’5.

The guy is aggressive at attacking the rim, has multiple post moves and can shoot from all over the floor. At his height he can average 30.

Then you look at the other side of the floor and his a generationally good defender and a DPOY candidate every year. If he stays healthy for 10-15 seasons, it’s going to be a video game scenario.

Too tall, too skinny, he won't go long without getting injured IMO. Great show in the meantime

What if he has Kareem’s longevity though? I wish him health, it’s always good to get new and unique players.

kareem wasn't that skinny. he's more like ralph sampson. anyway, yes, if he's healthy, absolutely nothing can be done about him on either end. there may be some sort of wilt rule change if that's the case.

Yeah the Spurs tanked marinate on this. They traded Dejontue Murray and Derrick White. Gift wrapped a championship for the C Bags. They prepared for Victor Wembyana.

So does this mean Silver will decide to come down harder or at all on Ballmer and Kawhi? It’s already a very bad look that they cleared Rozier and now the FBI has indicted him.

I honestly think this could be the end of the road for Silver. Once it becomes clear the NBA knew about this someone will have to take the fall and it will probably be him.

I'm with Svtr, I care more about the hoops than anything, but this is a bad look for Silver tho.

Silver is worse than Stern, and the latter was absolute garbage
