the replies in these posts are wild, man. how many times do executives have to say that this isn't normal before people with no nba front office experience will accept it?

also funny that the replies to quinn's post aren't replying to his post. he's just saying the same thing some of us have: if this isn't enough to prove it, then there is no such thing as enough evidence to prove it. hence, folks with deep pockets are going to take the gloves off. defending the clips doesn't change this fact. if this is a legitimate way of operating under the cba, then there's no real salary cap.

shams is going to have to start announcing what fake company is paying the other half the player's salary in each FA tweet.

Yeah. I don't understand the other side of this one either. The downsides of this seem so clear to me. Even if the bar is low, there still needs to be some kind of bar for behavior.

Pelinka's Hot Dog Stand endorsed by Wemby and SGA for 100 mil each coming to a random strip mall near you. Just don't name it Peliinka and make sure the guy sending in the money is one of his closest friends from college. Completely believable that they would never speak to each other about the team he manages.

Meh..after watching Musk run amok through Washington DC, for a 233M investment, I'm inclined to believe that Silva, isn't going to do jack s*** about this situation. And I repeat, you won't see one owner speak out in protest, about him not doing jack s*** about it either. Including our own. The real world isn't a college campus professor.

I “think” you’re going to be wrong on this but we’ll have to see. This is the third time last 2 pages though you have spelled Silver “Silva” :D what’s up with that? Are you typing or talking and the phone’s hearing it wrong?

Yeah..Predictive text..my phone hears Silva I guess. I've gotten lazy man...this speak to type deal is pretty cool. I might write a novel one day!

Whatever is going to happen here, I imagine the investigation will be concluded by the start of training camp. So we shall see how it plays out.

Another 10 million dollar investment 3 months after Wong’s investment. It was clear that Aspirations is struggling and burning through money at this point.

In December 2022, Wong invested almost $2 million in Aspiration through DEA 88 Investments LLP. Days later, according to reporting by “Pablo Torre Finds Out,” Aspiration paid Leonard $1.75 million.

Three months later, according to court documents in a civil suit, Ballmer invested $9,999,997.92 in the company. Aspiration had been struggling financially, with just $12.2 million in cash as of Feb. 17, 2023 and running through more than $2 million a week. The Clippers declined to comment on the March 2023 investment.

    Okay, that's just ridiculous.

At this point, forcing Ballmer to sell the team might not be out of the picture.

    He openly and blatantly lied!

They're also reporting Leo and Downey Jr. received $2 million in total and they actually did some form of marketing.

Kawhi did none and received at least 10x it while not even being close to the star Leo and Downey Jr. are...

I'm losing track now..so Ballmer invested 60M in this company, another exec invested 2. So out of the 62M invested, how much did the Hyena get? I'm getting lost, the company immediately had problems paying him, after Ballmer invested 50M. Then the Wong guy coughed out 2M just for them to make a payment. Something isn't adding up here, does anyone know how much the Claw actually got paid before the company went bankrupt? The 20M in stock options are worthless, so they shelled out 62M total, in order for him to get 28M? How much of that, did he actually get?

So they shelled out 62M, in order for the Heyena to get 21M. Sounds like a terrible investment.

    Kawaiis Career earnings about

    350 million

Why does he need to do this? For 28 million? Even $40 million? Makes no sense. Seems like he was duped into a company that had growth he thought.

Can we get something clear!!!!!!! Nobody is defending Steve Ballmer. Basketball wise it makes no sense.

He can lose his team for cap circumvention. Literally lose it.

Makes no sense when you have an arena you invested in that’s yours.

    A. Have The All star coming this season next year.

    B. Olympics coming in 2028

Have a team valued at a lot.

from a buisness standpoint makes no sense.

people acting like this is LeBron 2010 Kawaii is past his prime. So why the f*** would you do it????? For what???

You didn’t do it when he signed in 2019 unless there was a deal that something would be set up on his extension and I haven’t seen anything like that.

Is this something Uncle Dennis did with Dennis Wong separately? All I’m saying is Dennis Wong is falling on the sword.

if you know anything about basketball business board of governors meetings owners have to approve sales so no one is going against Ballmer.

The NBA has been trying to get Ballmer in the NBA for a long time. There is no incentive for him to do it.

is he capable absolutely any owner can do anything to appease a player or pay him.

Dont take evidence or Theory as defense. We’re just talking about it because its the number 1 story in the NBA and we’re trying to analyze it.

We gave theory’s on thier statements. So whatever Silver comes up with that’s him.

I think it was 28 million and 20 million dollars worth of stock. Kawhi’s NBA contract in general has been a terrible investment for the Clippers. He still got paid, didn’t he?
