Rui might be heading out soon. Bummer.. but I just can't see us making a good trade with anyone, without including his salary.

    Rui on page 2!

How does one improve their rebounding? If Rui could become a better rebounder like bringing down 7-8, he’d be immensely more valuable for us.

There aren’t too many great shooters, good cutters, good post defenders that can rebound well but have good mobility.

Ask Vando for tips? 11 per 36.

Or even Luka or Lebron at 8 per 36.

Rui’s athletic, but he’s like Wiggins in that he just doesn’t really use it effectively. You’d hope he could bring down 7-8 rebounds a game just like Lebron and Luka could - he has the size for it.

Rui needs to take a step next season, I’d love to see 15/7 on good efficiency in 32 mins. If he did that we’d be one of the best rebounding starting units in the league with Luka, Lebron and Rui at 7/8, Reaves at 4-5 and Ayton at 10-11.

I’d actually love us to become a great rebounding team. Too many times over the last few years, we’be been beaten in the possessions game and rebounding is such a critical part of that.

Such an important part of the game

This staff can't afford to ignore this

Give help to all our players to improve their rebounding

All those extra possessions pay off with more opportunities to score

That’s the game right there. If we could improve as a rebounding team, that would help a lot. We have 3 good rebounders in that starting unit now. Would be nice if Reaves and Rui have career years in rebounding too.

I think Adou is going to be a good rebounder if he can develop. Vando is a good rebounder, having one of Kleber and Hayes as a backup C will help too. We should aim to be a top 10 rebounding team.

It was one of the main points last preseason when JJ started to talk about his philosophy. I imagine it continues to be this year

he focused a lot on offensive rebounding, though, iirc. defensive rebounds are, of course, just as important.

Ha! Hi five with the pooch is my favorite pick so far of the summer.
I hope some here aren’t bent after Rui gets a new contract from the Lakers this summer.
I love his progress so far since he got here.

Rui looks noticeably slimmer. He’s always the forgotten man. He was one of the guys who actually showed up in the playoffs last season. If he and Vando take a jump we’re gonna be really good.
