I don't see it happening, but our roster would be interesting/old school....

    Russell / JC
    Kobe / Lou / Brown
    Randle / Snell / Brown
    Gibson / Bass / Nance
    Hibbert / Black / Upshaw

I don't even know what to think of that. Beat everyone up and ask questions later.

OKC trying to move Steve Novak. Wish we could move Kelly/Sacre for him.

Yeah Novak is terrible... also they're trying to shed salary so they wouldn't want Sacre and Kelly!

I still think we signed Hibbert as a trade chip. I also think that's why Kelly is getting time. I could see Mitch trying Hibbert, Clarkson, Kelly for Cousins and Collison at the deadline.

I disagree. Hibbert was brought in to be a defensive presence and to be a good fit next to Randle who the team certainly seems to be building around. Cousins is a poor fit offensively and defensively next to Randle.

Not to mention, that's not close to a fair trade for Cousins.

Hibbert is one of the few defensive talents we have on this team. Trading him wouldn't make sense unless we're acquiring 2-way talent in return.

I remember the 05 to 07 season, too. Everyone was coming up with weird trade scenarios.

That package might get us something decent, but it ain't getting us Cousins. Cousins is a top 10-15 player. Hibbert isn't going anywhere I doubt. I think the Lakers are honestly interested in seeing if he's a long-term solution at the 5.

I think Mitch really wanted Cousins when that deal broke down before the draft. He probably walked away because he knew he could get better value after the Kings are on track to miss the playoffs again. Then some little things like us being linked to Rondo, Hibbert and Rondo being eligible to be traded at the same time, them taking WCS and signing another C. Not to mention they really need a starting SG and Clarkson would be Kevin Martin 2.0 for them. No facts behind it just makes sense in my mind.

not sure on Hibbert as I view Clarkson as the main piece of the package Sac would receive. They are terrible at SG and he would be a 20 PPG player on that team while they develop wcs and a few young guys.

I'd say we try and package Bass and Kelly together for a draft pick or wing player. I don't get why Byron is in love with the idea of playing Bass as a 5, the dude can even be considered undersized for a 4! He's a vet and deserves a better scenario than the one here. Also Nance is coming around and I'd like to see him get more mins as a back up 4.

Probably in the NCAA Prospcts thread. But if he's there at 32, I bet we take a flier on him. We can afford to take a project/swing there since we have so, so many kids on the roster the 32 pick will likely be in the D-League any way for a season or two.

    Here's my unsubstantiated trade idea:

Philly takes Ingram #1. Simmons is on the board but let's say the Lakers are high on Bender. Boston is reportedly high on Ben Simmons. We package the #2 for Boston's #3 and #16. Draft Bender and Maker. Thoughts?

Alternatively we package #2 for some kind of all-star - #2 and Tarik for Jimmy Butler. #2 & Clarkson for Paul George.

Here's my preference for our pick:

    1st Choice: Ingram
    2nd Choice: Ingram
3rd Choice: Trade #2 for some substantial player.
    4th choice: Draft Ben Simmons
