It's funny I thought I saw glimpses last summer of him being able to put the ball on the floor and create just a bit. He'd try and sometimes work his way into the key with not "bad looking" handles and shoot a turn around J or go to the basket where he just needs to be smarter to keep from showing the ball for his top 10 highlight attempt and repeatedly getting stuffed. But yeah it just doesn't seem at all like there's anything else, other than his terrible deep % now, that has improved at all. If he's putting in 3-a-day workouts he's seemingly NOT doing them right. Redick AGAIN, like Bronny starting to get his hands up on D ..... needs to fix this. Put that smart brain to work on DK's psychology and solving the damn problem.

Some nice plays, showing the improved handle, and confidence as well

He’s getting hacked a whole lot and the refs just pretending he’s not.

He started the SL with low minutes, eventually finishing it around 25 minutes.

Another very good offensive game, where he handled the ball well and has significantly improved in ball handling and playmaking.

In my opinion, he's not a PG, and it often shows, but he's made some good reads.
If he played as a secondary ball handler, he'd benefit.

That said, with all due respect to the Lakers haters, there have been worse SLs from a 55th overall pick.
I have no doubt that all this is a waste of time, but it seems objective to me that the boy has made clear and tangible improvements in a year.

Those (not one) … two floater/runners were nice to see in Bronny’s bag.

Bronny reminds me of Max in some ways. You can see that he's put in a lot of work on his game. Max made a nice jump from his rookie to sophomore season. He still wasn't quite ready, to be a reliable rotation player, but you could tell, that he was getting close.

Getting Marcus in here is going to put Bronny’s development in Warp 2 comparatively to what it was already looking to be organically. Smart’s going to turn Bronny into a beast physically and mentally.

He’ll see Bronny as himself at the same age and have a career’s worth of information to share with him going forward this year maybe longer. But he’ll also see Bronny in his mind in Bronny’s prime as an athlete he was never close to himself.

Easy man. Bronny Jr. is years away from being who he'll be, but you are an excellent hype man. If he's good enough to get regular meaningful minutes this year, what would be great. But his place may be in the G League getting reps for another year.

See I expect him “good enough” for rotation minutes “maybe” this year with Smart tutoring him which will be HUGE. In your time frame of course he’s not going to be PRIME Bronny for 5-6 years. That’s the beast I’m talking about … maybe even sooner there TOO. He has the physicality / strength/ athleticism / world class genes and mental tutoring. Have a “little” foresight Man!

Sorry, too practical to go there and rely on someone unproven as of yet. And I’m not sure his dad is done being a douche, so I’m not sure if he gets thrown out with the bathwater for me or not yet

He's been humble so far, putting in the hard work and staying out of social media

    Huge pluses in his favor

Even with the nepotism you have to like the guy and his effort

So I've always assumed Bronny will be wherever LeBron is while LeBron is still playing, but as he establishes himself as a legitimate NBA player in his own right I wonder if that might not be true? Say LeBron's contract expires next summer and he wants to sign in Cleveland or wherever...would we just trade him to wherever LeBron goes? Now that Bronny actually looks promising, I'm not so sure. I wonder if he'd even prefer to be away from his dad if he becomes a legitimate NBA role player and no longer needs his dad to be in the league at all.

    Good points

    I guess it's a wait and see

But we can't just give away Bronny. He's earning some value. It's not so much now, but may improve by next summer

I've kind of thought or expected if he really blows up into a potential future star by next year with all his tangibles and intangibles to the PLUS side from the hard work and all, that he would and the Lakers would like to keep him here.

Value is Value no matter where it came from

If he becomes an asset we should keep him

it's going to be hard to know even next summer, imo, whether bronny is an asset or not. but we do control that contract, so if lebron really wants to take him with, he should play nice on the way out.

I respect and appreciate the work he puts in. Future star, lock him up. I think you stated earlier how much Smart is going to help him grow. Rob has us sitting in a 20' foot tree stand.
