Yeah I’m satisfied with the roster now with the addition of Smart as a former DPOY as POA defensive guard. We’re ready to go. Still have all our assets if a deal arises. Great off season.

Vash just said NO on LG, we have to waive Goodwin too unless there's a trade up Rob's sleeve. You never know. Hell he never knows .... just wings it day to day.

LOVE this addition. He’s the guy I really wanted from the buyout list.

I expect a trade. But this is a good signing even if it costs us Goodwin (who I’m really high on)

I can't emphasize this about Vando enough but his lack of shooting is just a part of the issue with him. He has bad hands, can't finish in traffic, and has no mid range game

A guy a Goodwin actually ate into his minutes last year even though he's not a great shooter because he had the ability to attack closeouts.

Okogie probably not going to happen with Smart signing but if he can do anything on offense that would be an upgrade on Vando offense

pretty much my thoughts here though I do think Goodwin can be a contributor and is worth keeping if we can.

With the addition of Smart, to me it makes sense to start Vando. That way we always have a defensive pit bull in the rotation. Let Rui cook off the bench.

    Luka/Smart
    AR/Vincent
    Vando/LaRavia
    Lebron/Rui
    Ayton/Hayes or Kleber

I really don’t want to get rid of Goodwin since I think he can learn how to become a decent shooter and be a cost controlled two way player.

I expect Kleber to be the first big off the bench since he’s a decent defender and can also space the floor.

I’d love to move Vincent for a bigger guard that can defend 1-3.

Smart is only 30. Going to be his age 31 season. He's not that old. Almost exact same age as Wiggins, who Lakers apparently had interest in. He is not a great shooter, but he is not shy. His volume helps keep defenses honest. He also had a strong year last year from 3, at 35%. So maybe he is turning the corner i that regard. But besides the shooting and defense, he also has some utility as an extra ball handler and creator.

Unless there is a trade, Lakers have to cut both Milton and Goodwin. If they do so, they will be approximately 1.1 million under the 1st apron, thus would have the BAE.

I really feel the team is different now. We finally got our Alex Caruso back. This is going to help Lebron out so much.

Add to the fact Marcus Smart won a defensive player of the year award as a guard a perimeter player that’s huge.

didn’t have to trade Hachimura and all your assets for Wiggins and you get the same perimeter defense.

low key this is a guy you can put on Kevin Durant or even Anthony Edwards it’s huge.

The perfect guy you want to put next to Luka. Can you imagine the lineup with Smart and Thiero.???????
