@LTLakerFan I did this for you so you can research the kid. I think he's an older prospect. Physical. Decent to good shot profile.

Sorry if was posted already. I didn't see anything on it.

Yeah I was reading a little bit of Summer League comments on him on LG and knee jerk some wanted to take the 2 way away from Koloko or Jemison to give to him. 6'7" real physical and I think 7'1" wingspan. Maybe he'll wind up on South Bay. Probably no chance for the big club?

I don't know. I like his physical profile, though. I like the big wings, with muscle, and the long wingspan you noted. I hope he has a chance. I want to find 1 Reaves in here.

OK from over at LG this link was posted: https://www.noceilingsnba.com/p/arthur-kaluma-is-on-the-cusp

    Conclusion

I understand having a degree of hesitation about Arthur Kaluma. He’s an older prospect and he’s sort of a jack-of-all-trades. He’ll need to continue to develop as a shooter and on-ball decision maker in order to maximalize his value. But at a certain point on the board, I feel he becomes one of the better value propositions in the draft. He’s an NBA-ready athlete. His shooting profile is rock-solid. His growth as both a shooter and decision maker are a testament to his work ethic and demonstrate a track record of improvement. Defensively, he’s become an engaged, productive off-ball defender who can lock down a variety of players at the point of attack. When a dude is 6’7”, 222-pounds, and has a 7’0.5”, those things matter. Teams want guys who are built like that and do a lot of things well. If nothing else, he’s a guy you don’t have to worry about getting physically chewed up and spit out. Between his physical traits, athleticism, and well-rounded production, he should be able to survive. And if he can continue to turn the dial as a passer and shooter, he could be the type of forward who hangs around the league for a long time. Arthur Kaluma is on the cusp. And to me, he’s a much better bet to make on the margins than a lot of other prospects who tend to be ranked in his vicinity.

    And LakerDYnasty72 posted this:

"[Kaluma's] just getting a rhythm," said Lakers Summer League head coach Lindsey Harding postgame. "He played a little three-on-three yesterday to help with his rhythm, and he came out on fire. His threes were huge. His defense was amazing. And he's a physical player. That's what this game needs and he has the body for it. But he was great. He helped turn the game."

They're saying almost the exact same thing about our other pick Adou Thiero. They're both also described as great athletically (Kaluma) and top five athletically (Thiero).

Kaluma, LaRavia, Thiero all described as tough and physical and all have idea wing size. One of the areas I pay close attention to is what five can we put on the floor for our best defense.

With his defensive ability & athleticism, Ayton can anchor a defense around our most defensive-minded, athletically gifted players to develop a cohesive defense around a 40 year old, and Luka as well.

We're only going as far as how effective our defense will be.

I wanted to see how he would perform in summer league. He was one of the team leaders on the Uganda national team I believe, so he’s got some good international experience. And yeah he has the physical traits you want to see in a modern wing. I’d like to see more
