I saw that last night, lol. Forgot to post it. Is funny. Maybe they'll want LBJ, too.

Thank you. People need to open their eyes and see what is ACTUALLY going on so far with the moves and undoubtedly there's more to come. Plus it wasn't just Deandre Ayton with that swap you mentioned but a strategic use of the full MLE it allowed by splitting it and getting LaRavia too. For sure stop any stereotyping anyone may still have on him and actually come to realize what kind of a player he is. If you like the kind of player Austin Reaves is, you're going to like a bigger and stronger version of him. That "C" word (the good one) just got used here TOO in this SS&R analysis that @VladeD714 posted this morning.

Anybody else listen to spaces mid-afternoon on Guru's twitter? Oh, man. There was a dude who was impersonating Rob Pelinka and started talking about "Project 2027" and thanking "the man upstairs Nico Harrison" for Luka. ROFL.

Sorry, just had to share that; was hilarious.

Now that we have Ayton. I'd be swinging for a Dalton/Kleber or Gabe centric deal for Mathurin. Picks, swaps being on the table as well.

DA has the opportunity to show what he's really capable of doing with this stint with the Lakers

He has to be able to see that and put in the effort to make it work

Playing along side LBJ and Luka is a privilege and if he's smart he'll see that

Kelly Oubre (not great shooter) is on an expiring for $8.4 million. I think something like Shake and Goodwin works, but it would hardcap the Sixers at the first apron according to Spotrac

i may be in the minority, but i like the idea of trying to develop goodwin a bit. if you look at his performance thus far in his career, he's shown extended promise on both offense and defense...just never at the same time. so the potential is there, imo, for him to turn into a reliable two-way guard. pair that with his low trade value, and i'm probably just keeping him.

I get that. Just looking around the league. There just isn't many options. I like Wiggins, but the last couple of seasons has been a rough go for him. hoping somethings shakes loose here...

^He was okay last year in a reserved role, and he's only getting paid $8 million. He's fine for the price tag.

I just saw a list of all the expiring contracts for small forwards and it isn't pretty. Could see why they went after Wiggins.

    Guess we'll see.

Couple of things. Windhorst is a hater!!!!!!! Hater!!!!! Hated Lebron going to L.A. from Cleveland. Always writes an article. Lebron doesn’t have the power. They like Luka he wants back to Cleveland. The two parties are beefing. He always writes an article with something starting something like trying to divide Lebron and Luka drive a wedge. I know he’s been with him since Akron. It just doesn’t look professional.

You guys have to appreciate what you have. I’m not calling Rui Hachimura Ron Artest but if you look at the body type you see it. Coming out of Gonzaga he was considered The next Kawaii. Who’s more 3 and D than that.

If you look at him. I know he’s had his games. But the guy will go guard Jokic and do an admirable job on him. And then guard a guy on the perimeter. I saw what he did to Bane a few years ago in the playoffs. He will occasionally guard Durant if he has to.

and then give you 15 points on the other end. Great free throw shooter. Great shooter. Athletic. We got him as a steal. Traded a second round pick. One of Rob’s best acquisitions in his tenure.

He’s so versatile. You don’t get that a lot in the NBA. please don’t rush to run him outa town. Any other team he can average 22 points a game. Advanced scorer. We haven’t had that since Kuzma.

to trade Hachiumura I’d want better then Wiggins. I wouldn’t trade Hachimura for Draymond Green. I’d trade Hachimura for OG and I don’t even think OG is advanced as a scorer as Hachimura is.

He’s strong. But as the guy he can do it. please look at Hachimuras first two games with Luka He looked phenomenal. I like that Hachimura shows up in the playoffs. Had a great game 4. He’s not the reason we lost.

our Key is our depth. I think Aou will help a lot as that young wing. Who can switch. That’s why I see how huge it was for trading up for him.

I really like this team. Hachimura gives you the scoring. Let’s sign Ben Simmons and be done with it. Young wing length big arms. Ball handler. Beautiful passer what am I missing here. Can play guard 1-5. If there’s a team that can off set his scoring it’s us.

Evan is an aggregation specialist and tries to either create rumors based on tea leaves or from not crediting the source (a quick search can tell you which one he's doing with each tweet). It's a shame he got in the fake rumor business, because he started out as just aggregating the source and did the best job presenting it, the link and a video or audio clip is there was one.

    Anyway...

This seems to be a tea leaf assumption, but with the money drying up out there. If he's available for the BAE or minimum, JUMP NOW!

Can’t use the BAE? I was under the impression that we have enough room under whatever hard cap we’re at and CAN use the BAE?

Hoopshype has us as at 13 players after the Ayton signing, not including Thiero yet. So I think we still have one roster spot, and apparently Shake’s contract is non-guaranteed (until July 20th at which point it gets guaranteed)

I do still expect some sort of consolidation trade as well, but I wouldn’t be too upset if we used the BAE and a minimum on another big and defensive guard (ideal scenario would be Horford and Melton) and then go into training camp with that roster, evaluate what you have, and be patient making a trade for a wing that can hopefully be a long term building block

Some wings targets in the East:

    • Kuzma? He was pretty bad after the trade to MIL. I liked him when he was here, but I think that version of him is gone.
    • Isaac is on the Magic’s books for another 4 years at $15 million. I wonder if they’d do Isaac for Vando + Dalton. Their not so great contract for our bad contract plus a shooter. I don’t think I’d do this one.
    • Patrick Williams? We could probably get him just for expirings but he’s owed $18 million a year for the next 4 and might just suck. No from me.
    • Highsmith is an interesting one. Miami should theoretically be looking for guys with more upside, so something with Dalton would make sense, but the Heat are obsessed with “culture” and trying to compete so they probably see him as a long-term piece. But I’d keep an eye on this one, I’m sure it came up when we asked about Wiggins.
    • Speaking of Wiggins, he’s probably the most discussed option here. Seems like Miami’s asking price is too high (Rui + expirings + Dalton + pick). But if we could get Wiggins and Highsmith for that price…I’m thinking about it.
    • Similar to the Heat, the Raptors have Barrett and Agbaji. I feel like Barrett was known as a good defender in NY, but that seems to have fallen off in Toronto. He’s always been a jack of all trades master of none type, which we could use. And Agbaji has turned into a solid contributor on both ends. I’d consider a Rui + expirings + Dalton + pick package for both guys, or Dalton for Agbaji.
    • Paul George. Rui/Vando/Gabe/Kleber works, no Dalton or picks. Not sure I’d even do that.

    i do none of these.

i'd do all the picks and knecht for keon ellis.

knecht and swaps for devin carter.

    knecht/gabe for dalen terry/dosunmu.

i'd definitely take achiuwa and melton as free agents if we can make that happen, too.

i think the hard cap at apron 1 means that if we use the BAE, we can't sign a 15th player (would put us over). i may be wrong.

even declining shake doesn't save enough, if i understand it correctly.

i think we still have lots of options at the margins right now, though. we can take S&Ts (under the apron still, but we can do it).

Anything with Knecht is a non starter...shooting around Luka should be a premium

Yup, he “dominated” so much that the Suns couldn’t wait to get rid of him.
